Gennady Golovkin just destroyed Rubio in a 2nd round KO on HBO. He really is one of the nicest dudes I have ever photographed. Nice and destructive.  Golovkin reminds me of a young Mike Tyson.  His knockout percentage at 90% also is remincient of Iron Mike and the highest of all time for a middleweight.  

Gennady was all smiles during the shoot...so much so we had to instruct him to give us a battle hardened glare for the camera. GGG liked being on set so much he stayed 4 hours after we were done.  I brought him back on set to photograph him in his suit because he looked sharp...and, well, he was still there.

It's photopolooza time here again in NYC this week what with the Photo Plus Expo and all the trimmings associated with it. Yours truly is joining in all the fun with an officially sanctioned seminar with friend and inspirator Monte Isom. Apparently we will be jabbering on about 'How to maintain a career in photography?' PDN also sought out my thoughts on collaboration for their Expo issue. Turns out in a previous life I was grinding away in a yawning gorge of craft before bridging the gap on the planet mentordom.
