My parents bought my daughter an early birthday present, it’s one of those jeeps she can ride around in. But I get a remote to actually control it so that she doesn’t crash and go all crazy all over the neighborhood. Well, the batteries in the remote ran out and then she crashed into me. So, long story short, I’m suing my child. How’s your weekend going? @monteisland​

Let’s get a few things straight - one, I am not. 

See? I’m funny! Just because I’m signed up for Mommy and Me yoga classes, drive a Honda CR-V and always have a bag of essentials like sunscreen, band-aids, and wipes, doesn’t mean I’m grandma status and unable to hang. I was out shopping for groceries this afternoon and I had one of my patients dads come up to me and go, “Emma! What a surprise! I thought you’d be buying Special K, not Fruity Pebbles.” Like..I can’t be wild and buy sugary cereal? Please.

I don’t know about you guys, but the sky full o’ clouds is seriously bumming me out. Or maybe it’s the lack of beautiful faces I’ve seen today. Is everyone on a coffee embargo with The Grind or something? Kiddos, put on your rebel yell and rescue this poor maiden from the tower of boredom that this is turning into! ...Or just order an iced tea or two?

So uh, what’s good around this town? I’m still pretty new and all I’ve done is pour drinks when I’m working and drink when I’m not. Am I not supposed to do that? Oh well. Don’t tell my boss. I’m Austin. @monteisland​

As a doctor, nothing really surprises me these days but today it finally happened. I got that patient who decided to use doctor related pick up lines and shocker, she wasn’t sick at all. She started with the ol’ ‘Can I take your temperature? You’re looking hot today.” and continued to make an awkward situation even worse until I thankfully had another patient who clearly needed way more assistance than she did. Never a dull moment at Monte Island General. @monteisland​

Alright, y’all. School’s officially out, my internship ended today, and I’m not working again until Friday. When I tell you I am bored out of my mind, I’m not joking.

So my lovely, lively (I meant that loosely) manager has suggested, okay more or less decided, that I shouldn’t handle bussing duties at the coffee shop if I’m listening to music again. How the heck am I going to make the day go by faster if I can’t be like Fred Astaire and dance my way around all of the chairs and tables? Help a brother out? @monteisland​
