Montenegro: D-Moll Is Going to Israel!
montenegro
so montevizija is tonight and i want to talk about that
my personal winner is Andrea Demirović with Ja sam ti san, just because it stands out and is different, also because i lov e i t
the rest of the songs are kinda meh if i'm honest. you have the following:
probably a decade old eurodance track
discount inje, this time with a woman!
6 people, no build up - the musical
shounen anime theme that you skip after the 2nd episode
according to some nerd in the comments of a reaction, people are not likely to vote for Andrea, however i think this kid could be mistaked because she seems to be very popular! The juries i'm not too sure about... and Montevizija is heavily jury reliant.
So i hope the best for Andrea, and if anybody out-does her, i hope the best for them too!

The Montenegrin
The Montenegrins are going with a 5 song national final like they did last year. I’ve listen to part of the songs quickly, but I’m going to listen to the songs in full and then provide a comment on how I feel about them.
D-moll - "Heaven" A band of sorts. Six voices doing harmonies and trying to sound unified and in English. Unusual for Montenegro, but it may be their trick for success. I don’t think so.
Andrea Demirović - "Ja sam ti san" This is unlike the song from 2009. I like the beat and the feeling of alien, electronic mood that is interspersed with orchestral touches. A good effort.
Monika Knezović - "Nepogrješivo" Ballad like, slow burn of a song. It has a good feel to it as well and could be a decent song performed on stage. Problem with it needs to escalate into something and it doesn’t
Ivana Popović-Martinović - "Nevinost" Classic Eurovision ballad seen by Montenegro in the past. I like the orchestral notes through the song and it makes it special. Expect this to be better live.
Nina Petković - "Uzmi ili ostavi" A more edgy sound to the song, but Nina’s voice is not so edgy to go with the song. Maybe something will come out different in the performance.
Conclusion:
Five decent songs in one way or the other. The stand out is Andrea Demirović. She has the song and somehow I think she will give the performance too. It is the song that would make a Eurovision final. I’d place Nina Petković only because a specific performance could push this over the line.
It’s Vanja Radovanović for Montenegro!
