Joan Keating's Eighteenth Monthiversary Song
Well, well, well, what time is it today?
Have a year and a half now elapsed since I graced center stage? Well, it's rather amazing to me. When I crawled from the page, Though my age was advanced, I was new to the social web life; It was hard for a single who'd never been sweetheart or wife. So I longed for companions who, like me, loved poems and art, And it wasn't too long till I found some friends after my heart. Ah but after a span of activity, I got distracted By daily commotion; and then I seldom interacted With dear newfound friends. It's deplorable, but c'est la vie! And now, as before, restoration is now up to me!
Well, I'll give it a try, for my friendship won't die. If I just give up now, I should get a poke in the eye. It's a year and a half, I need hugs and a laugh You're invited to gather for a lot of love and decaf Have the loveliest year and a half!
I'm not sure what the future can hold for my life or my journal; We have seen nothing perfect can last; naught but love is eternal. I'm just hoping for some reconnections, good feelings rekindled, And if we have new quality times, maybe nothing has dwindled... In addition to bonding, it's crucial I get more productive Write new poetry, songs, or a story; an opera's seductive... But most anything works as a salve for my worries and sadness I just must be creating and dreaming And loving and passionate I'll find my homeland of gladness!
Well, I'll give it a try, inspiration shan't die If I just give up now, I should get a poke in the eye. In the next year and a half I'll be honing my craft; You're invited to gather for a lot of love and decaf Let's all snuggle and laugh Take your place on the staff (if you want, you don't have To) Have the loveliest year and a half! ~~~ Love to all my followers and friends, past, present, and future!
