Typecasting
We were both at the audition. We had never met before. He got up onstage and sang the end of "Buddy's Blues," and I fell in love with his choice. We were both at the callback. We had met exactly two days before. We got up onstage, and I danced around him while he sang. I fell in love with my hope. We were cast as the most (in)famously shipped pair of siblings in all of cult film history. With our mutual curly hair and brown eyes it had to be, it was inevitable. Such chances are not to be missed. I fell in love with my role. We were a week into rehearsals. He needed a ride home. I gave him one, and then another the next night, and then I gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was his first kiss. I fell in love with that fact. We were driving back to his the night after. I apologized for overstepping myself. He said it was ok, I hadn't known; he explained that anything more was impossible. I said ok. I was wrong. I was already in love. We were four weeks into rehearsals. I had read all the fanfics, all the callbacks; I was writing more of both. I fell deeper every day. When you're playing a sister in love with her brother, it may be your bad luck if he's your type. But it's a little late to stop things now. I've gone and fallen in love. And I'm not sure if it's the role or if it's me any more.
