Reposted from @norman_parkinson Happy Birthday to Norman Parkinson (1913-1990) who was born on April 21st in 1913. • In this self-portrait taken in 1956 he relaxes in his garden at Montpellier Row in Twickenham where he lived with his wife Wenda Parkinson (1923-1987) and son Simon Parkinson who are shown hard at work in the background. Also featured in the photograph is the family’s white cat called Taxi, and Sue Robertson who lived nearby with her two sisters and made occasional appearances in Parkinson’s photographs.
