i try to convince myself it’s just another photoshoot, but the way he looks at me between one click and the next completely unravels me. the air feels heavier, time moves slower. i pretend to adjust the light just to get closer, but it’s only an excuse to breathe the same air. and when he smiles, that half-smile that seems to know too much, i realize there’s no longer a line between art and desire. the flash goes off, my heart races. and for a second, i forget who’s capturing whom.
