Introducing the Weidenhoff Mig Fuzz. One of four of the Weidenhoff private collection. These boxes used to be auto test equipment. It appears to be greasy but has been cleaned and sealed to maintain the natural patina. Quite a challenging project. No room for mistakes. We didn’t want to just add a lot of random holes and ruins the look and feel. For instance the RML ID plate is on the back because we wouldn’t just want to drill through and cover the “high voltage” print. History: Made by Joseph Weidenhoff, Inc., of Chicago in the 1930s. Weidenhoff was later acquired by Snap-On in 1956. ...the distorted part of the music here is processed with a Mig Fuzz. Beastly. Definitely worth it. I do wish they hadn’t moved away from the lift up control panel like on the Voyagers and the model D. Probably a lot of physical reasons for that. A small design idea can become a huge nightmare when you have to consider the mechanical factors to make that happen. This has internal fans and multiple voice cards.
