I know it’s 100% in character for him, but still, seeing Snufkin with a Sniper Rifle in official Moomins media is still hilarious to me

Today's respondent should've been the first, because he's the title character. So: Meet Moomintroll! Even two of them, classical and 1969/72 one (complete with some cameos).

Okay, creators of Moomins 1969 clearly loved Westerns and all that Wild West air. I luv that mashup and miss it a bit in Shin Moomins 1972. And each time seeing Snufkin'69 I thought, hey, did they cast Yul Brynner to enact him? Just on a whim, I check The Magnificent Seven, and what? There's a lil'scene almost identical in both sources. When meeting Snufkin for the first time, Moomintroll asks him, "Where did you come from?" - "From there." - "Where do you go?" - "To here." And Snufkin shows those 'there' and 'here' with a finger. Just as Brynner's character, Chris, does (but silently) to just the same questions from a traveling salesman.

(ok, maybe these are generic lines for every other Wild West movie but I'd like to think that Snufkin'69 was based on Yul Brynner ^.^)

Mymble's Daughter, the first with the End of November book-vibe, and the other from the Moomin 1969 and Shin Moomin 1972 series but cosplaying a geisha (her milky white skin gave me the ideas)
