My lady and I went to a really large and cute crystal/fossil shop this past weekend. While we were walking past the fairy figurine section, this one caught my eye, and I decided to buy eight rocks and an abalone shell alongside her to make an altar for the moon. We were going to wait for a full moon to set it up officially, but after a day of fun activities and thunderstorms, we just couldn't wait anymore (mainly me tbh), so we set her up that same night. And honestly, I love it. For being something I threw together on the spot, it's so aesthetically pleasing and just an overall amazing addition to our home.

We then made the executive decision that she should live in the safest corner of our entertainment system, so that my lady's dasterdly son (who has already managed to break one of my altar's statues) doesn't have the chance to break my precious fairy. And I love this version of it too; it's hidden, for obvious reasons, but I still love to just sit and admire it. This is, however, the only photo I have of it on hand but whatever!

These moon phase altar tiles are designed digitally, printed, and then sealed under a glass 1" cabachon which is then glued into the setting tray.

There are two different setting trays, a black metal setting and a wooden setting. Each tile is approx 1" to 1.3" depending on the style chosen.

Each set includes nine altar tiles: one tile for each of the moon phases, including the dark moon, a correspondence sheet, and a storage bag.

YOU WILL NEED

Four silver candles

A table indoors or a large, round. flat stone outdoors

A bowl of water with sea salt

A small silver knife

Seven small moonstones

Four jasmine or myrrh incense sticks

TIMING

Make the altar at the full moon, but use it during any moon phase

THE SPELL

-Light a silver candle at each comer of the table or at four corners of the large round stone.

-In the center, set a bowl of water in which you have mixed three pinches of sea salt with a small silver knife.

-Put seven small moonstones in the water.

-Light a jasmine or myrrh incense stick in each corner.

-Trace the triple moon image, shown at right, on the surface of the water with the knife.

-Face the moon, asking for help in love, and say, “May this be granted, by when next I see this moon.” [or your own moon time line].

-Splash water on your brow, throat, and inner wrists, saying, “I would not detain you, Moon, from your path. But first grant this love plea I ask.”

This is my moon/ quartz altar 

I have a piece of quartz on each side to signify the four directions, North, South, East, and West. 

The four elements are represented by the Sea Shells, for Water, the Pine Cones for Earth, the Feathers for Air, and the Rose Rock for Fire. 

I also have a piece of Amethyst in the center with a crescent moon carved from selenite.
