Critical Role Theory: The Moon Weaver and Artagan

The Moon Weaver sending one of her champions to deal with Artagan makes me think the gods have changed the way they deal with problems outside of the the divine realm. From what we saw of Vecna the gods didn't send any champions they have in their realm to help stop him in all the years he was still alive and seemingly still didn't after the seeding ritual when he was on the Prime plane and still not a god. The Moon Weaver sending a champion to deal with a minor threat like Artagan makes me think they've changed the way they're going to deal with threats, since Vecna. The Angel of Irons cult nearly breaking one of the Chained Oblivion's chains might've been what triggered the gods to start being more direct and taking threats on the Prime plane more seriously.

If the gods have started taking a more direct approach it could start causing a lot of changes. If only some of them are taking a more direct approach it could cause the gods to become divided. The Moon Weaver sending a Champion and then talking through them seems unprecedented. Gods that aren't allowed in the Empire could start sending champions to deal with them. They might attack the Dynasty for worshiping an unknown being and/or defying death.

..... Moon Weaver is the Elven goddess of death and the moon as well as mysteries.

.......also she is typically Chaotic Good and Neutral Good.
