DREAD ALERT: An existential crisis

Today is the nadir of a very difficult set of transits. The beginning of a Mercury Retrograde, a Solar Eclipse, and a T-square with long term and severe effects. This T-square involves Sun opposition Neptune, a period of great disappointment and a darkening view of ourselves. This is the transit of the addict and the fool. Some may feel low self-confidence and even a desire to escape the body. The only defense may be abstinence, a complete shut down of the wish to please others and their expectations.

This is conjoined with the Moon's nodes, which can only intensify our emotional moods, as we swing from escapism to dread in the blink of an eye. The loss of goals, finding ourselves awash in confusion and distraction, and being seduced into dangerous waters, or washed away by nebulousness and bad memories. We lose our will and allow others, maybe our worst enemies, to define us. Our normal powers of discernment and balance are eroded away, leaving is emotionally numb and directionless.

It's a very dangerous time, we don't have our usual wall of common sense and sense of worth. "If you don't stand for something. you'll fall for anything", as the old saying goes. This is the bad time to be so shiftless, because the barrage of events--the world around us, is relentless and unforgiving. Reality intrudes via Saturn and Mars, both in Ophiuchus, which could mean persecution from the courts, financial institutions, and other elements of Man's control.

Those who can navigate through these difficult, self-defacing and demeaning times, will, like the wise woman, the Crone, come out stronger.
