He looks wild, standing in the centre of the room, surrounded by lethal weapons, hanging on the walls. Like he’s a lethal weapon all on his own, this savage thing she never thought she’d bear witness to. It’s like looking in a mirror, seeing a reflection of her soul staring back at her. So this is what she looks like, stripped down of all her human parts. This is what it means to see her own soul stripped bare. It’s an out of body experience. She sees so much of herself in him, as if they’ve shared the same soul all along, split in two and twinned in these double lives, these two impossible people who share their savage nature in common. The end of the world has sharpened him, made him more like her.
