What I write won't be everyone's favourite, but it might be someone's. What I write might not be important, but it might be important to someone.

Just keep writing. Progress is progress, and progress is not perfection.
Maybe some people can churn out perfection in one pass, but I think most writers will agree that first drafts are awful, and they're meant to be awful.
To everyone who threw themselves into a November writing project this year, congratulations. Whether you wrote a novel, half a novel, a chapter, a page, an outline, a synopsis, a title - you made progress. And progress, however minute or mighty, must be celebrated.
Writing is what I most love to do. I don't like constantly forgetting that because I'm eternally exhausted.
It can be disheartening to pour everything into your writing only to have it vanish beneath the ocean of online content. It's mostly because I couldn't self-promote to save myself. But way back when I released a few ebooks… ouch. I shouldn't have let it get to me. But it hurt that nobody cared. They had no reason to care, so it shouldn't hurt. But it did.
I was never a natural writer. After some life experience and much practice, my abilities have improved. Practice. Writers have to practice. I should have practiced more when I was younger. I wish I had. I wish I'd been able to let myself. Maybe I wouldn't be in this situation now.
I want to create characters and worlds that brighten people's days, as cheesy as that sounds. I did warn you: I am a library with unusually high cheese levels.
