MORE BOOK QUESTIONS!! :D :D
14. Favorite place to read?
Bath tub! It's how I start my day almost every morning!
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
Frequently. I underline, write thoughts and feelings, ask questions, make connections.
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?
If I like it, I'll tell you about it. It needs to be something that moves me or makes me think. I rarely recommend books that I just found pleasurable - but if it gets the gears turning I'll want you all to read it. :P
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience.
I got spoiled on a major plot point of the fifth Song of Ice and Fire book because I was slow reading it and people wouldn't shut up about it. D: But in the sense this question is asking about, I think, is when has hype for a book let you down. Well. There have been plenty of hyped books that I haven't liked, but that's not the fault of the hype, you know? Relationships with books are personal. Hype might make me pick up a book, but once I start reading it's just us, me and the book, and no one else's opinions count. It lives and dies on its own merits.
35. Favorite poet?
ohhh... I am tempted to say Whitman but I think the real answer is Frank O'Hara. :)
44. Favorite film adaptation of a novel?
Nothing serious or artsy - I adore the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie. Also I'm coming to the opinion that Game of Thrones is better as a TV show than as a book because you get all the good parts without the problematic prose. Of course I can't forget BBC Sherlock :P
Happy Birthday Heather! I hope it is as sweet and lovely as you. :)
Amber!! thank you sweet heart!
*snuggles*
