A Small Gift
@moonlit-hunter Just as the sun dips below the horizon, Dem is preparing for her journey. The fancy dress and makeup for the earlier Gala is stripped away, replaced with more basic, less postured counterparts, with clothing more suited for the Yharnam weather. She pulls a capelet over her shoulders, and closes her eyes. Focusing on the stable, but still weakened, space in the fabric of reality. She can see the rift clearly. She made it. It is draining, but not difficult, to push through, human glamor donned to avoid suspicion, studying where she landed for familiar landmarks. It was not familiar, per se, but she was not lost. Head held high, she begins to walk, a smile already tugging at her lips. It was a small, hopefully, deterrent from social interaction with any other night wanderers. The people of Yharnam were supposedly a somber sort. But even if this benefit was to have the opposite effect, she would not be able to stop it, nor the slight spring in her step. Mabelle would be seeing Hadrian tonight. That was reason to smile in itself.
Breathe in. Out.
Focus.
It had been so long since the Demoness had to use spellcircles proper, she’d almost forgotten how it felt to see all the runes light up around her as she kneeled, placing everything where it belonged, to tear not only through time and space, but the barrier of reality itself, all for the sake of a single visit. But, she had promised Hadrian this is when she would go to see him, and if nothing else, she was a woman of her word.
Eyes closed, she murmured under her breath, pushing all of her energy, her concept of self, against the barrier that separated all he knew from her world. It had holes, of course, but none big enough for a person. For words, pictures, not a person. Mabelle had to make a hole. Gritting her physical form’s teeth, she pushed herself even further, suppressing the urge to make a sound at the vague feeling of her form nearly being ripped apart from the exertion.
The barrier stretches, then finally snaps. She feels as if she’s been pitched forward all at once, into a world where she may not even know the physics.
The Demoness, in all of her gray skinned, horned glory, only barely manages to catch herself, feet landing hard against the stone streets of Yharnam as she comes to be in a flash as brilliant as starfire.
At least the difficult part is over. Finding the home of her friend should be child’s play in comparison.

"Hey, when the hell are we moving to find one of those artifacts, hag?"
"All good things to those who wait, Lucian. We do nothing until rumors pick up. When we hear rumors, we follow. When there's a huge catastrophe, we go look. Those places.. Are where 'Sin' is most bound to appear. You must learn to be patient and wait for the signs."
"Hey, you. Isn't that jacket a bit bland?" hail yuyu-
"What's yer point?"
"Before you ask, no, I'm not trick-or-treating. I'm here with a Solar Fruit. Just try it. It's good for giving you energy."
A quick check was all that was needed to reaffirm what Daichi already knew; the man in front of him was not an Oni, nor was he laden with poms, so his commands were optional.
Still, food. The Tengu sniffed at the odd fruit and poked it gingerly. “A solar fruit? What’s it do?”
[TEXT] fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff [Text] Hello, this is Nero. Lucian ended up spending the money you gave him in a drinking contest. He lost, and now he's trying to pick a fight. Please come provide assistance, Miss Elluka.
>...Eldohdammit, Leviadammit, dammit to all the dragon gods.
>Why do I trust him again?
>You know what, for now on you're keeping the money, Nero. I'll be over ASAP.
