Yes! I do love my fast-paced ships that go from 1-100, but slow burn is something I love as well!

        It was hard to speak when blood tried to overtake one’s tongue with each word. Alisaie was keen to hide her condition, however, with a slender hand... even if it failed miserably as red dropped down past the cover and over her chin. Never, before the Twelve, would she admit to having gotten into a fistfight with a petulant Brother of Saint Coinach.

 He nods, only slightly. A smile paints itself on his face. It was true. Though he could not blame people who allow the world and its cruelties to change them, it took far more bravery and strength to stay soft. Though some may consider it weakness, he knew it was not so. Softness and gentleness were the evidence of hope. Kindness was the symptom of empathy. These things were the best parts of people. The desire to make life better for those around them and those that would come after them. The desire to protect and touch. The need to help others. The softness of a parent speaking to their child, of lovers professing their adoration, and for those that risk all to protect their fellows. The bravery to allow yourself to touch and be touched by others. It was a beautiful kind of strength.
