Moonrise Fall
Very-endearingly crappy indie puzzle-adventure game about exploring the woods & hunting for cryptids to take their photographs.
Car crash → coma → astral projection → magic Polaroid camera → cryptid pokédex
It's a slow paced game, entirely player-driven. Very atmospheric. Top-down pixel artwork. Puzzles and exploration are fairly straightforward, with a moderate amount of variety. Game has a day/night cycle, with random weather events, both of which are under the player's control. (Time via direct button inputs; weather via a magic kalimba you play with the joysticks) Manipulating the time and weather is used for environmental puzzles. Specific cryptids only being around at specific times, etc.
It's a nice basic game. No major complaints. I had fun.
Three Magic Cameras outta five!
