I really enjoyed reading your answer because I’m also a Fjorester shipper and I’m sometimes afraid that I’m seeing everything through shipper glasses. To the point that I sometimes have to text my friend I watch with and be like “Hey so it looks like Jester is upset that Caduceus is casting Greater Restoration on Fjord instead of her? Am I right or just projecting?” I thought your answer was really insightful and has definitely given me things to think about when I rewatch the episode again.
Oh, thank you!!! I mean, I totally get you. Once I decide that I ship something, it’s so hard for me. I like to stay unbiased, but it’s like every one of their interactions is filtered through a romance lens. I mean, I know I’ll be fine if they don’t ever become canon, because their friendship is still EVERYTHING to me. But it really feels like there’s something that they’re dancing around. I’m excited to see the end result.
In the same vein as you and your friend, my younger brother started watching and it’s been super justifying for me to have him text me his reactions occasionally. He actually just texted me about how funny he thinks it is that Laura is trying to win Travis over to D&D romance and sent me a Fjorester supercut video about 15 minutes ago lol. But it’s nice to have someone who I know isn’t like, super invested in shipping telling me that he views their interactions as romantic.
