        There was something different about these woodlands; she could tell from the mere dense musky scent that these were not trees that she was familiar with. It was also true that she had been told that she was never to return to Narnia; so why on earth did she find herself in unfamiliar woodland? “Er – hello? Is anyone out there?” she called out in an almost hesitant tone as she wished to have her bow and quiver at her side. Oh, how naked she seemed to feel without a weapon with which to defend her well-being.  

          ➳      “I mean no harm! I only wish to know where I am!”

        The second eldest Pevensie could have cursed the hint of fear that was laced within her matter-of-fact tone as she tried her hardest to compose herself in the darkness of the forest that seemed to consume all of her at once. There was a certain darkness hidden amongst the trees that almost felt like m a g i c ; but not magic that she was familiar with.
