「✿」 “You’ll be rewarded for complying, I promise. Now let’s go!” Little thought goes into what she’s uttered, though at this point, she’s much too preoccupied to applauding herself for even convincing Jeong to accompany her in the first place. Therefore, leaving the agreement to be possibly one-sided—for all he knew, she may not even uphold her end of the bargain depending on what he wants. But she will ascertain that they complete the evening in one piece. Shouldn’t that be enough?
“One hour in here like I promised—tea cups or ferris wheel first?”
While Maeri awaits his choice of ride, the tickets procured where ripped by some blurry-faced gate employee, before she whisked the male past the rotating doors, the thin of his wrist firmly clasped by icy fingers.
一Somehow, someway he had managed to find himself being pulled by the hands of someone who was nearly a foot shorter than he was. Yonghwan knew he had the choice of coming to an abrupt stop and turning on his heels to make haste towards the other direction. It wasn’t so much that he disliked the theme park and the rides, it was more so that he didn’t exactly have a fond memory of the place. The last time he had ever stepped foot into a setting such as this was during a high school trip with his class. It was during his freshman year and he was filled with gumption. There was a girl. Of course there was a girl. There’s always a girl. Either way, there was a girl whom teenage Yonghwan had been eyeing since the first day of class. He saw this moment as the finite moment with which he would be able to express to her how he felt. So, what better way to do so than the ferris wheel? To keep the story short, he had been friend zoned by the end of the trip. At Maeri’s question, a nerve was struck. He hated the tea cups due to the constant spinning and he would get queasy at just the sight of them let alone be in them. But he hated the ferris wheel even more due to his adolescent self. Now he was conflicted. What choice should he make - should he suck it up and take a whirl around the vomit inducing tea cup ride or should he shove his past aside and take on the ferris wheel?
❝ Ferris wheel. I can’t stand tea cup rides. ❞
His voice, cold and stern. Nearly, actually quite possibly, sucking the fun out of the both of them. That, he takes note of quickly and releases a small exhale. Yonghwan removes all former ill will towards the ride and instead presents the female with a smile. ❝ Thanks for bringing me. ❞
