One of the the folks I grew up with tragically passed away a couple of years ago. Todey I brought gifts for his daughter, she looks just like fam🥰. She even gave me a hug, which warmed my heart. ❤️🙏 . . . There aren’t too many people you can count on with no strings attached. Do your best to pick and choose who you call a “friend” cuz most times you won’t know who is who till you find yourself in a pickle. Less is truly more, I’d trade 86% of the folks I grew up with for nothing. I got receipts for why I feel this way. 😒The little girl I got these gifts for, her dad transitioned 2 years ago. Although we were cordial with each other, after that prison stint I mostly kept it moving from majority of the folks I grew with. I learned to choose better folks to surround myself with. Holding it down for your ppl should be a no brainer, well at least to me🤷‍♂️. I do what I can to check in with my homie’s children despite not getting the same treatment when I was in prison. When he was here my homie had “friends” every where. A mere couple of years since his passing, am not sure who else checks in. Salute to the two other manz that pitched in for his little daughter’s birthday package. Being a thorough person is everything to me these deys. Also please remember, irregardless of how they treat you when you’re down. Don’t get bitter, just choose better. I am who I am.💐🙏 . . On a side note, if you knew me before the prison life and we are close enough todey for you to call or show up at my doorstep anytime.
