A/N: Aye! So seriously sorry for the wait but my life got pretty hectic, ya know? I really hope you like it though and thank you for being the first person to request when I reopened requests. Love ya! 🧡

It’s frustrating to watch the person you like kiss someone else. It’s even worse when that other person is basically your sister. What could the odds possibly be of you and Jennie getting these roles and actually having to put your lips on each other? You being an idol under JYP was probably the reason. 

A newly debuted solo artist on top of being an up and coming actress, and you have already garnered a lot of attention from co-starring alongside Lee Minho recently. You’d also stirred up some attention from starring in some short films and web dramas that feature lesbian storylines. Rosie only met you due to being in the same promotional period during “Lovesick Girls” but honestly you haven’t crossed paths much outside of that.

Truthfully, Rosé has no idea why she never asked for your number during that time. You are a very kind and friendly person so it really wasn’t justifiable. But when Jennie came home three days ago and said that she’d been cast in a show overseas and you were a co-star, the jealousy began. How is it that Jennie was receiving the luck that should be hers. Suddenly, you were all Jennie ever talked about morning, noon and night. 

At first it only annoyed Rosie a little but it soon grew astronomically to rage. Her responses to her friend became clipped and aggressive. Jennie didn’t seem to notice until one night she was sitting with the girls and gushing about how sweet you are when suddenly Rosie stood up abruptly and stomped off to her room. 

“What’s with her?” Jennie looks on flabbergasted from her spot on the couch.

“I don’t know maybe she’s just in a bad mood.” Jisoo suggest looking worriedly at Rosé’s room door.

“I’ll go check on her.” Lisa gets up and knocks lightly on her best friend’s door before entering cautiously.

When Lisa enters the room she’s finds Rosie sitting on her bed, arms crossed and face pouty. No words are exchanged at first. Lisa climbs onto the bed and sits legs crossed in front of her dear friend, looking for the right question to ask first.

“Penny for your thoughts?” The younger girl’s voice is soft and inviting.

“I don’t even know. I think… maybe I like Y/n more than I thought,” Rosé pauses in her speech like she’s trying to formulate the rest of her response. “I hate that she’s so close to Jen and it almost feels like Jen likes her too.”

More silence. Lisa contemplates what to say to her friend to alleviate the stress she is feeling over this dilemma of hers.

“Well maybe you should tell her, Y/n I mean. Let’s say you guys talk and she doesn’t like you back, okay then. Now you know and you can move on,” Lisa watches as Rosé visibly deflates at the notion of your rejection.

“But but, hear me out. Say you tell her and she does like you. Then you can go from there and bam, maybe you come out of it with a new girlfriend. Honestly Rosie, the worst thing you can do is say nothing."

Rosé listens intently to her and considers the advice. Maybe she should tell you but when was she even going to see you next? She couldn’t just text you even if she did have your number because you deserve better than that. Little did she know you would definitely be seeing each other sooner than she thought.

In the coming days Jennie was away a lot for shooting. Knowing that you and Jennie were probably laughing and joking around while she sat around the dorm thinking about how to meet up with you. 

It felt like the shoots all ended quickly. Before she knew it the show was active and here she was at turned into a viewing get together for the cast and friends. All of her members were there, Jennie’s costars were there but most importantly you just arrived.

You look great and the smile you give her does insanity on her already crazy feelings for you. However, before she can approach you, Jennie intercepts you, dragging you off to see other people with her hand guiding your back. Rosé visibly deflates. She realizes that it may be harder to get your attention tonight than she originally anticipated.

Time felt slow but before she knew it, it was time to watch the show. Everyone is buzzing with anticipation but especially Rosie because she managed to score a seat directly next to you. Of course Jennie was attached at your hip from the other side but she wanted to take her small victories where she could.

Everything was going well. The two of you interacted more than you ever had. Rosie made a habit of joking with you, giving you light touches just for the contact and the way you smile at her makes her feel so alive. But then it happens.  If she wasn’t mistaken Rosé could have sworn she heard her heart crack in half at the sight of your lips on Jennie’s flash up on the screen.

The dreaded and honestly purposely forgotten kiss scene between her friend and her crush was earth shattering. Tears well up in her eyes without her permission and she feels her nose beginning to run a little as she suppressed a pained noise from her throat. She tries to sit through the entire scene, not wanting to draw attention to herself but when she turns and sees you staring at her with concern written all over your face, she has to excuse herself.

Rosé rises far too quickly for her own liking and bolts from the room before anyone knows what happened. You look after her from your spot on the couch and catch Lisa’s eye. Lisa looks from you to Rosé’s room and she gestures in that direction with a gentle smile.

Taking Lisa’s cue, you stand and make your way over to the door and knock. Rosé’s voice is weak in response but she says to come in so you do.

“Hey Rosie, everything good in here?” Your gentle nature makes more unshed tears fall from her eyes.

“Hey, Y/n. I just um…” She pauses and looks down like she wants to say something she can’t quite get out. “I want to talk to you about something. I- I want to tell you something but I don’t know how you’re going to take it.”

“Come on Rosie. You’ll never know unless you just tell me. May I sit?” She scoots over and gestures to the edge of her bed. “So I think I- no I know I really like you Y/n.” 

You don’t speak for what feels like forever and she doesn’t dare speak herself. When she glances up at you she can’t quite read your expression. Your not looking at her, your eyes are fixed on an invisible spot on her wall. 

“You don’t have to say anything, I know you like Jennie but I ju-“ She’s cut off by your abrupt eyes on her with raised eyebrows.

“When did I say that?” Your voice is just as shocked as you face.

“I just thought that you guys spend so much time and you’re all she talks about so I thought you must like each other.”

“What? No, we’re just friends Rosie, that’s all.” You shift to face her head on.

“But that kiss scene,” 

“Was just a kiss scene. Jennie and I are just friends. But about what you said earlier…” You look away from her before continuing.

“I have to say I’m a little surprised, you know? We have hardly talked at all and I’m sorry but I don’t feel the same way.” You look back just in time to see her shoulder fall.

“I get it. I mean we hardly know each other but I really do feel something for you.” Her voice wavers and her eyes well up with tears again.

“Hey, I’m not saying that I couldn’t. Let’s try going out a few times and see what happens. I think you’re great Rosie, I just haven’t had time to see you like that.” You smile as you see her head shoot up and she looks you in the eye for the first time since you arrived today. There’s hope shining through her like a beam and it genuinely makes you happy. 

Her smile and the way she grabs your hand saying that you won’t regret giving her a chance makes you decide that your decision was correct. I mean who knows what’s in store for you too. You surely won’t if you never give it a try.

DREAMCATCHER reaction to their gf being too shy to ask for a kiss

Request: Hello there could I request A Dreamcatcher reaction to their girlfriend wanting a kiss but too shy to ask for one?

Jiu: From day one Minji has always been the more forward one. She had always initiated hand holding, hugs and kisses. She can really read you so she almost always knows when she should and shouldn’t but the first time she was able to recognize your behavior when you were too shy to ask for something yourself was a golden day. For example, when you wanted to hold her hand you would pinch the back it lightly and avoid eye contact. But if you wanted a kiss then you would tug on her sleeve and pout a bit in almost a pucker. It always warms her heart to see you wanting her affection even when you’re too shy to say it.

Sua: The two of you are a comical but sweet pair. You almost always have second hand embarrassment from the unwanted attention she draws to you on almost a daily basis but being with her is so worth it as far as you’re concerned. Bora is always careful with you though, because she doesn’t want you to get too overwhelmed in any situation so she’s much milder when you are around. With that being said she doesn’t get carried away with her PDA even though her love language is physical touch. In public she sticks to basic hand holding or arm looping. In private she’s much more open with her skinship even when you stay shy. It never ceases to amuse her when you won’t ask her for a kiss but try to throw her subtle body language to indicate what you’d like from her.

Siyeon: Siyeon is always kissing you anyway so you usually don’t have to ask. Because she knows you’re shy about it she mostly gives you cheek and forehead kisses around others but her favorite thing is to peck you on the lips when she hasn’t seen you for a while. Sometimes though, you want to tell her to kiss you but for some reason you can never get the words out. Typically, you wait for her to look your way and pucker your lips at her. Like clockwork she lets out a startled chuckle and gives you a small kiss like you “asked”.

Handong: Dong knows without much warning. You just tend to slip closer to her side and have this look on your face like you want to say something to her but you won’t. She never really brings it up or asks you about what it is that you’re trying to say. Dongie simply leans over and places a sweet kiss on your lips and returns to doing whatever it is that she was doing, leaving you as red as can be but happy.

Yoohyeon: You end up having to ask because even though Yoohyeon is clingy with you, she’s also shy herself. Odds are even if she can tell that you want to kiss her she’s more likely to wait for you to ask, blush about it, and hit you softly before finally kissing you and then descending into a whiny mess about how embarrassing that was. In the cases that she’s feeling confident in that moment she’ll repeat the same cycle except she’ll just tease you about it afterwards with a very red face.

Dami: Yubin is another member that can tell what you mean with little to no words. She’s not one for a lot of skinship but she’s an exceptionally good people reader. From standing just a little closer when she sees you getting nervous to resting a hand on your back when you’re singularly focused on a task so you don’t run into anything. Your habit is staring when you want any kind of affection so she’ll pull you closer, give you a kiss and hold you while she continues about her previous activity.

Gahyeon: Gahyeon knows the look but depending on how she’s feeling she’ll either give you a kiss or she’ll wait for you to come to her just in case she’s reading you wrong. Especially depending on the environment. If she thinks she’s getting the look while you guys are working, like at a fansign or variety show then she’s definitely ignoring you until you are alone. Or even if she’s just unsure she’ll ignore it until you move closer and have that same look again.

“Come on Jungeun, please!” Jinsol’s plea carries throughout the dorm garnering the attention of their other roommates.

“If you ordered the food why do I have to go get it?” Jungeun whines back from the couch.

“Because you love me?” The older member smiled sheepishly at her own response.

Jungeun groans in annoyance but proceeds towards the door anyways to meet the poor delivery person waiting on the other side. When she opens the door she finds you double-checking the delivery address. The click of the door startles your attention towards her.

“Oh! Hi, order for Jeong Jinsol?” You look up from the receipt with a charming smile that has Jungeun a little surprised.

“Yes, that’s us. Sorry for keeping you waiting like that.” Jungeun accepts the bags of food from you, handing them to Jinsol who was lurking behind her even after refusing to answer the door herself.

“Here you go, thanks so much.” Jungeun nods at you one last time before you briefly thank her with a bow and set out down the apartment building stairs.

“She was nice,” Jinsol comments as she sets the bags on the kitchen counter.

“Who was nice?” Sooyoung comes into the kitchen immediately putting an arm around Jinsol.

“The delivery girl,” Jungeun speaks up while sifting through the bags to find her order, only for it to come up missing. She begins to grumble and groan before the doorbell rings. Sooyoung is the one to answer this time and proceeds to scare the crap out of everyone in earshot.

“What?!” The two girls come bounding into view to find you standing on the other side of the door being smothered into the body of your longtime childhood friend.

“Youngie, please! Can’t breathe.” You strain to wriggle out of her strong hold and finally, she lets you go.

“What are you doing here? How’d you figure out where I live?” Sooyoung is bouncing with excitement.

“ I didn’t weirdo. I just forgot to give you guys one of your bags. Here ya go.” You extend your hand to reveal the bag that had Jungeun’s missing order in it.

“Oh, thanks. Are you busy? Do you have time to catch up?” Your heart warms at the happiness you see all over your dear friend but you give her an apologetic smile.

“I actually have a few more deliveries but if your number is still the same we can plan something.” You pull your phone out and present her contact info to her.

Sooyoung shakes her head in disapproval and types in her newest personal number before she texts herself from your phone.

“Text me when you get off so we can plan something. Don’t forget either or I’ll haunt your dreams.” You can’t help the laugh that bubbles out of you at her antics.

“Yes ma’am!” You give her a mini salute before giving her a parting hug and waving at the blonde and brunette still standing in the background. With that, you turn on your heel and Sooyoung watches you descend the stairs until you disappear.

The eldest closes the door and turns around to face her girlfriend and best friend with a giddy smile on her face. Jinsol smiles back at her happiness and quirks an eyebrow while Jungeun just looks on confused.

“So that’s the Y/n you always mention from when you were a kid?” Jinsol inquires as her taller girlfriend walks into her waiting arms.

“Yes, I had no idea she came back to Korea! What are the odds that she works at the new shop around the corner?” She says practically bouncing off the walls.

“Should I be jealous or what?” Jinsol asks jokingly.

“Oh no trust me I’m not her type but if she’s seeing someone maybe she’ll be interested in going on a double date.”

The two continue talking while Jungeun gently slides the food bag out of her older friend’s grasp to take it into the kitchen. She pulls out her food and transfers about half of it onto a plate before calling to the rest of the dorm and her other three roommates make their appearance. Haseul, Jiwoo, and Kahei all enter the room excitedly.

“I texted the others to come over so they should be here soon.” Not even a full five seconds later the door opens to reveal Hyeju leading their other friends inside, making a B-line for the kitchen where Jungeun is poring over the orders and organizing them by person.

The twelve girls gathered in the living room, pushing the coffee table out of the way so they could all sit in a circle on the floor to eat their dinner together, as is tradition on Sunday nights before their classes resume the next day. This time though you are the topic of discussion. Sooyoung tells everyone of your brief reunion and answers excited questions about you as a person and her experiences with you as a kid.

Jungeun doesn’t ask but listens intently to the conversation. The more she hears the more interesting she finds you and when she pictures you in her mind, the image reminds her that she did indeed think you were cute.

When Sooyoung finally gets your text while they are wrapping up dinner, she screams about how you actually enrolled as a transfer to their college as an art major. Apparently, you truly hadn’t been back in town that long.

The following day Jungeun finds herself waiting for you outside Main Hall with Sooyoung, Jinsol, and Jiwoo who was adamant about meeting you after hearing Sooyoung talk you up. Even if she looked as if she’d rather be elsewhere Jungeun was curious. Honestly, she wanted to see you outside of your work get up for scientific purposes.

You spot your friend and her entourage as you approach the great doors of The Main Hall. Jungeun is the first to spot you and immediately takes you in. You’re in black jeans, and a simple sweater vest but you look great to her. The way you beam at them makes her heart race and even if it’s for the group she pretends it’s just for her.

“Hey Youngie, Youngie’s friends.” You stand at a small distance and wave once to the entirety of the group. Sooyoung leaps into your arms wrapping you in a strong hug. Then turns to the others with an arm around you.

“Guys this is my best friend Y/n! Y/n this is my girlfriend Jinsol, and our close friends Jiwoo, and Jungeun.”

When Sooyoung points to Jungeun and says her name she just looks on at you blankly with a small wave. You tilt your head at her with squinted eyes before you seem to recognize her.

“Oh hey, you answered the door last night when I came with the food. Nice to meet you all formally.” This time that bright smile of yours is actually for Jungeun. She tries to keep a straight face but winds up smiling right back. The brunette bows to you in return with not much else passing between you two.

You turn your attention away to greet the other two girls you’ve yet to really speak to and strike up a friendly conversation. By the time Jungeun has to head to class, it turns out that your schedules are almost exactly the same due to being in the same major. Putting it simply she doesn’t mind when you link arms with her to be led to your first class of the day.

She knows you’re trouble from the moment that you enter the class and she lets you go. It’s clear you don’t like to ask for help even when you need it. Jungeun watches you in amusement when you reach up on your toes to grab something on the supply wall and struggle until you huff and just decide you don’t need it. Jungeun waits a bit but sees you clearly did need it so she grabs it for you and places it at your workstation without a word.

When you see her put the thicker brushes in front of you, you turn to thank her but she doesn’t even look your way. Later in the day, she hears you talking about how badly you wanted something out of the vending machine but you left your wallet at home. Jungeun wanders off mid-conversation with your friends and brings back the exact snack you wanted like nothing ever happened. Yet she’s completely caught off guard when you lean over and kiss her on the cheek leaving her red in the face.

This continued over time to the point that Sooyoung could see everything clearly. For 3 months she’s watched Jungeun confuse the hell out of you. Every day after you pretended she didn’t exist all while doing little things for you but never acknowledging it. You went to Sooyoung days after reuniting and told her about your crush on Jungeun but Jungeun refused to admit her own crush to anyone. That is until today at a café off campus.

Jungeun sits across from both Sooyoung and Jinsol with a red face and ears to match. She invited the couple out to ask them something but they’d all been sitting together for half an hour and Jungeun has yet to actually say what she wanted to.

“Sooo, are we just going to stare at each other over danish and coffee or are you going to spill the beans?” Jinsol asks playfully leaning forward in her seat.

“Um, so I had something to tell you guys that may or may not have something to do with Y/n.” The couple smirks at her as she avoids eye contact from across the table.

“Go on.” Sooyoung grins, leaning her head against her hand.

“I um… I may or may not have a very small crush on her and I was kind of hoping you guys would help.” Her gaze never meets her friends who listened to her with wholesome smiles.

“Why us?” Jinsol asks.

“You’re just the healthiest relationship I know of and Sooyoung, you know her really well. I figure if anyone can tell me what my chances are then it would be you.”

“Look, I’ve got your back. Why don’t you just invite her here for coffee? I promise you she won’t say no.” Sooyoung’s smile is soft and encouraging. It really does give Jungeun hope.

She makes up her mind right then and there. Jungeun gets up after excusing herself to prepare herself to confess to you the next day. She gets up the next morning with a new kind of determination.

You’re walking up to the library first thing in the morning to get ahead of your studying when you feel a hand on your shoulder. The smile on your face was actually really calming to her and she gave you a big smile back.

“Hey, Y/n.” She lets you go and steps back to give you some space.

“Jungeun! What’s up?” You step back into her space and hold her hand as you smile at her like literal sunshine. Your heart warms up at the feel of Jungeun’s hands going clammy on your own.

“Would you um… do you want to grab coffee together at the café across the street? It’s okay if you don’t I just figured I’d ask.”

You watch her face progressively get redder the longer you take to respond. The look of surprise on her face when you kiss her cheek with a nod is worth all the money in the world as far as you’re concerned. At that moment Jungeun feels so high that she hardly notices you fortifying your hold on her hand and walking you both the other way.

“W-Where are we going?” Jungeun stutters to life.

“The café silly.” You don’t even glance at her as you say it like it’s the most obvious thing ever.

“Now?” Her shocked voice brings your beautiful laugh out.

“Yes, right now.”

On the way, you both run into Sooyoung and Je way. They go to greet you both but can’t get a word in as you put a quieting finger up and continue dragging a flustered Jungeun with you.

“No time. We’re on a date.” You say dismissively. Failing to see 3 pairs of bulging eyes staring at you.

“A date!?” The girls' screech as Jungeun finally tugs you to a stop.

“This is a date?” Jungeun searches your eyes for something.

“Was it not supposed to be? Cause if not this is incredibly embarrassing.”

“No no, this is most definitely a date.” She rushes it out like she’s afraid that you’ll change your mind and now Jungeun is the one dragging you along to the café.

Late Nights

Tip Jar

“Qīn.” Dong calls for you in the darkness of your shared bedroom. She listens for a response with a delicate hand resting on your chest, where she had only moments ago been sleeping. When you don’t stir she shakes your body as gently as possible in an attempt not to frighten you awake.

Once you start to come out of your slumber Dongie caresses one side of your face and kisses the cheek closest to her. Your hand finds hers and you place a light kiss on her palm trying to subtly shake the grogginess.

“Měi nǚ what’s wrong?” Your voice is riddled with sleep and Dong takes a moment to coo at how cute you look fighting to keep your eyes open for her.

“I can’t get back to sleep. Let’s watch something.” This isn’t an unusual occurrence for either of you. You both promised if one of you couldn’t sleep and needed the other’s conscious company then you could wake each other.

“Sure, go ahead and get some snacks going while I get my life together.” You bring both hands up to rub them over your eyes trying to get your bearings.

She doesn’t leave the room until you at least sit up just in case she has to wake you a second time. There’s a lingering kiss placed on the top of your head before she heads out into the kitchen to get your snacks ready. She’s waiting for the popcorn to finish when she feels your arms wrapping around her spreading a familiar and calming warmth through her entire body.

Neither of you speaks for now, just relaxing in the serenity of each others presence. When the microwave beeps, you release her and let her pour the popcorn into a bowl. On the way to the living room you grab a bag of chips and plop down next to your girlfriend.

Dong turns on a Chinese drama that the two of you started a month and a half ago that you never finished and the two of you sit impossibly close to each under the same electric blanket, and cuddle while you snack.

Every now and then you take a look at her to see if she’s enjoying the show and smile when you see how focused she is. Giving her a periodical kiss on the cheek or the side of her temple is common place and while she doesn’t bat an eye, she does squeeze your hand that she grabbed in the middle of the first episode and hasn’t let go of since.

There is always a certain level of comfortability between you two. Her friends always make fun of you because you’re both always so loved up even when they are around. Times like these though, these times where it was just the two of you in private were the best. Times where you can just hold her without a care and she never hesitates to hold you right back.

You always joked that it was fate that brought you together the way it did. Dong literally fell into your arms like one of those cheesy romance comedy movie openings. A slip and a fall and suddenly she was in a beautiful stranger’s arms with a flourish. Hearts pounded, words were stuttered and before you know it the two of you are moving into a brand new apartment together.

The first was a disaster because you had roommates and no privacy. You both have come a long way but you’ve always said it was worth it to be here with her now.

So here you are with the girl of your literal dreams eating popcorn and engrossed in a popular C-drama that’s taken you forever to start and even longer to finish, but it’s perfect because you’re together. Perfect because of Dongie. Who cares that it’s 2am on a Wednesday? There is no where you could possibly rather be right now than in this very moment.

A/N: Hey guys, sorry if it’s a bit weak for my first post in a bit, this is just the first time in a while I’ve finished a complete work. Just a little something to get back into my creative headspace.

You open your eyes to the bunk above you with blurry vision to someone shaking you like there’s no tomorrow. The source of your interrupted sleep being your leader Yuji. When you turn to look at her in groggy annoyance she just laughs at you before turning her attention to your fellow maknae and best friend Haeun. You know you should’ve gotten up immediately as Yuji has been known to be a little too playful when waking you and your members.

Before you know it your eyes are closing again and it feels like you couldn’t move even if you wanted to at this point.  This time though, it’s Yurim that comes to wake you gently as always.

“Y/n, get up before Yuji comes back for you.” She rubs your back slowly and gently pulls you into reality and out of your dreamland.

“Thanks unnie. I didn’t mean to fall back asleep.” Yurim pats you on the head and leaves the room again. You stand and stretch before looking over to Haeun’s bunk and laughing to yourself when you find her still sleeping like a baby. For a second you contemplate letting Yuji get to her but decide mercy is the path you choose today, so you grip her covers and rip them off of her, laughing when she gasps from the cold air that hits her.

“Hey, time to get up sleepy head, I heard Yuji unnie was planning to get the bucket.” You watch in pure amusement as your friend’s eyes nearly pop out of her head and before you can say another word she’s up and at it.

The two of you head out and into the kitchen to see Yurim pouring 4 bowls of cereal and you can hear the shower running. Whoever thought one bathroom for four girls was adequate was sincerely delusional, but then you think of groups bigger than you in a similar situation.

Today is the first day for you to begin promotions for your new song “Stalker”. You’re excited but to be honest you’re not expecting a whole lot since Enhyphen, STAYC, and Itzy are promoting with you this time around. On one side you can’t wait to see them perform but on the other you aren’t looking forward to being pushed aside by the music shows.

Though to be completely honest there was something else you were looking forward to, or rather someone else. You’d seen the music video for “In the Morning” and thought your heart might stop the first second she appeared in the video. You’ve always found her beautiful but something about this look pulled you in further. She’s only gotten prettier every time they have a comeback.

Haeun nudges you and gestures towards your cereal and that’s when you notice Yurim has been replaced by a damp haired Yuji and the shower is still running. You begin to eat but your mind doesn’t waver from the girl that has occupied your mind for a long time. You’ve never met in person. This is the first time that your groups have promoted together. The thought crosses your mind that she’s never heard of you but you’d like to think that isn’t true.

Slowly but surely you all get showered and dressed in sweats. You pull up to M Countdown and pile out of the van, waving to the fans that came to greet you and making your way inside to your green room where your staff is waiting. Of course you always had to spend a little extra time with your fans so when you walk in way after your members you bump into someone like the oblivious person you are.

“Oh, I’m so sorry, here let me help.” You extend your hand tucked into your sleeve to the stranger but you falter a bit when you recognize who you just plowed over. None other than Lee Chaeryoung looks up at you and smiles behind her mask. She takes your extended sleeve and stands with your aid.

“Thank you.” Her voice is softer and sweeter than you could’ve ever imagined from hearing it on TV.

“Welcome.” You speak so quietly she almost misses it and then you’re walking off down the hall towards your beckoning manager.

“Who was that Chaeryoung?” A voice right behind her startles her out of her thoughts. She turns to find Lia with the others.

“I think that was Y/n from 3YE.” Yuna’s face lights up.

“Oh! Their stages are really cool. Did you guys talk?”

“Not really, she ran off before I could really introduce myself.” Chaeryoung looks off in the direction you went before going to get changed.

Not long after, when everyone is dressed you go out to sit and watch some of the other groups perform, you and your members in your all white suit style catch the attention of Chaeryoung, who was looking for you to apologize properly. She sees you first so you miss the way she stares at you before she slowly walks up behind you. Haeun sees her and gestures for you to turn. When you look behind you, all you can feel is how suddenly dry your mouth is.

“Hey, I was looking for you. I’m sorry for bumping into you earlier.” She looks you directly in the eye as she speaks and it makes you shy.

“Um, it’s okay. Wasn’t it me that bumped into you though?” She looks a little puzzled.

“I guess so, huh.” You laugh together for a little and then there’s just quiet.

“Um, I’ve always wanted to tell you that you’re seriously amazing. You were insane in the mv. And, this outfit really suits you.” Your leap of faith in the form of a compliment pays off as you watch her smile brighten into the eye smile you’ve always wanted to see in person.

“Wow. You’re seriously so pretty.” It leaves your mouth before you can stop it and your eyes widen with each word. Chaeryoung looks down playing with her hands, her exposed ears becoming a brilliant red. You wait to be rebuked but then she leans up to kiss you on the cheek and runs off towards her group. Yeji and Ryujin are there waiting with cheeky smiles, fully prepared to tease the girl with her hands covering her face.

“You gonna show off for your girlfriend today then?” Ryujin prods at her friend.

“She’s not my girlfriend!”

“Not yet anyway.” Yuna joins in on the fun.

“3YE to the stage! I repeat 3YE to the stage!”

Itzy decide to take a seat to watch you guys perform while you, the members, and your dancers all take the stage. Once everyone is settled where they should be, the music hits and you find yourself in the difficult position of willing yourself to forget that Chaeryoung’s eyes are firmly planted on you.

By the time you finish performing you manage to forget for a second until Itzy begin clapping for you and the two of you lock eyes from afar. You and your members bow to Itzy and the staff then step off the stage. It’s Yuji’s bright idea to sit and watch Itzy’s performance and cheer as a sign of mutual respect, so here you are practically drooling over the presently red haired girl before you.

When the performance is done, all four of you stand to cheer and clap for them. You wait until they exit to leave and basically wait around for things to wrap up for the day in a few hours. When you get close to your green room Chaeryoung reappears before you with red ears and her hands behind her back. Neither of you notice the four girls peeking around the corner at their younger main dancer.

“Could I um, have your number please? I’d like to be close with you.” She pulls her hands from behind her back and presents you with her phone using both hands. You smile at her and accept it with both of your own hands.

“I’d really like that sunbae.” You start typing in your contact but see her shaking her head profusely.

“Oh no no, You’re older than me please just call me comfortably.” You hand her back her phone and see that you had not only put in the contact but sent yourself a text.

“Okay Chaeryoung. Let’s be good friends starting today. We should go to a cafe together sometime.” Chaeryoung nods with excitement, loving the way her name sounded in your voice.

“Cool, I’ve got to go but I’ll text you in a second and we can work out our schedules.”

The two of you bow at each other and go your separate ways. As soon as she rounds the corner, Chaeryoung bumps into her members who are smirking at her with their arms crossed or hands on their hips.

“What?” The dancer sighs when it’s clear that she won’t be avoiding the teasing that’s about to ensue.

“Don’t what us. We saw that.” Ryujin is the first but Chaer’s phone dings before anyone else can say anything. She looks down to see a message from you and she can’t help but smile at it.

Y/N: It’s been awesome meeting you today, I just know you guys are going to win. Let me know your schedule and I’ll compare our days off so we can hang out.

It wasn’t much yet but you both were smiling like idiots and both of your sets of group mates knew already they’d have to cover for you both in the near future.

Today is concert day. This is your first time doing a cover performance with Yubin and you both are monumentally excited. Truthfully, you find yourself in awe of the situation. Only weeks ago had she done a special clip of this same song with Siyeon but afterwards she came to you with the mind to perform it live with you.

Everyone on the team including your staff knew that the two of you are a couple and they have all been teasing you about the performance. Your CEO made it clear that if a scandal were to come of it then he’d let you decide what to do as far as exposing your 4 year relationship.

With that in mind, you thought you might be a little less nervous but you really can’t settle your mind. You’re pacing back and forth before the start of the concert when you feel a hand slip into yours and squeeze your own. There’s no need to look because you already know who it is.

“Honey, are you alright?” Yubin’s deep voice sends a calming wave over you like she’s just wrapped you in the world’s softest blanket. You squeeze her hand back in turn.

“Just some nerves but I’ll be okay once we’re out there.” She doesn’t say anything else but she remains close to you until it’s time to make your way on stage to open up the concert.

Everything goes well before you find yourself backstage changing for your performance with Yubin. The both of you get ready and wait in the wings for Minji and Yoohyeon to finish their performance. When they wrap up the stage goes dark and they both wish you luck on your way to your opening stage positions.

The performance is going well and you feel yourself letting loose and having fun with it, basking in the joy of performing a couple song with the love of your life. Then comes the finale. You and Yubin had just agreed to do the dip and that was it but when the time came your usually collected and professional girlfriend did something shocking. The members in the wings, and all of your staff gasped in surprise while the audience lost their minds as they all looked on to see Yubin leaning down to give you a strong kiss.

Even through the shock your instinct is to kiss her back so you do. The kiss is much too long to be considered anything but a public display of affection between two lovers and when you separate to go off stage your face is a red as it can possibly get.

You both run offstage to get changed into your group outfits and the whole way the other girls are whooping and hollering after you. You decide not to address the kiss until after the concert ends. It was Minji’s idea to do a brief video to be posted on the Youtube channel and wherever else to come forward with your relationship.

Neither you or Yubin were big on having to talk at length so the video wound up being about 30 seconds where you just stated that you are indeed in a relationship for 4 years going strong and that you hoped Insomnias would look upon your relationship kindly and with lots of love. The outpour of love and support for you both was overwhelming. You took pleasure in watching the fan edits that were made for you and the videos of “evidence” prior to you coming out.

The two of you didn’t really change a whole lot in how you presented in public except for the occasional hand holding photos and people catching you out on dates together. Neither of you were really the type to flaunt your relationship just for the sake of it but the natural affection and loving looks provided more than enough to feed the media and show everyone just how truly in love the two of you are.
