When I laid my eyes on this 1977 Motobecane 40t I knew I had to have it. It's all original. Even down to the spark plug.

It has sat since 1985, untouched. With the dealership tags still on it, and it only having 95.3 miles, and one owner, I knew that I needed to save it and give it a 2nd life. It's getting a full engine rebuild with new bearings, seals, gaskets, 15/15 SHA carburetor, 15mm intake, and a 12v CDI ignition. I'm also adding a variator to it, which was an option on the Motobecanes but costed extra money. I know it will be a fun build and I may run into some issues, but if I can get it running half as good as it looks, I'll be happy.

(In case you were wondering, I bought it from a guy named Michael W. Cornstubble, the original owner's nephew who inherited it and sold it immediately. So, it's still a one owner bike.)
