Description
Most likely inspired by the Italian commedia dell'arte, the story depicts the female protagonist (Lucia) having a preference for a young lover ( Horacio ), removing the glasses from the older man, a wealthy merchant named Pantalone , to get closer to the young man with the intention that the old man would not fully realize her amorous preference.
