BUT. ❛ i knew we would find some weird stuff up here. ❜ body placing itself on a dusty old trunk that must have been heavier than the two kids together, socks already covered with dirt and cobwebs. it was rainy outside, dark clouds covering the sun behind their thick veil, not letting a single ray shine through. precious hours spent inside, mischievous kids up to explore the huge mansion that held so many secrets they would need months of bad weather to discover half of them. amelia had never seen so many curiosities, collectibles from all around the world her father would be jealous of his daughter for eyeing them. ❛ —— but. ❜ fingers drawing circles, brunette hot spur fixing her friend again. ❛ what are you ding with all these . . things ? you could open up a museum at your attic and i bet people would beat a path on your door. ❜ and while amelia was talking, gaze wandered to the tiny hourglass bruce held, way more interesting to her than everything else. TIME. what a strange constant that seemed to be endless and gracious to these children, not knowing what fate was planning for them yet. how could they see ? how could they even consider a life torn between snow and darkness ? and so the sand kept floating, washing away promises made, leaving behind those who believed. ❛ i bet alfred would lose his mind. ❜
