@moremojothanyou entered the arena:

He wasn’t hard to find in Mutant town. That’s how he got most of his cases- hard to hide with a star on your face. Even in mutant town. So he wasn’t assuming this case would be much different: kid a bit older than him trying to locate some lost sibling. Same powers as his father apparently and a few other specifics. Nothing he wouldn’t be able to handle with the connections he had established in the rings.

Corner of  Ivy avenue downtown mutant town. He was a couple minutes early but he was either chronically late or chronically early for  these things. NEVER on time.  Shifting his back pack he glances around looking for anyone his age that might be his newest paycheck.

“Wrapped and ready for you right over there, mijo.” And indeed there were, waiting to be opened: paints and paper, a bow and arrow set, targets, small throwing knives, Legos, and some new clothes.

“Of course you can, Tomás. You may have your hair any way you’d like, cariño.”

Did you even want a kid? Why don't you just give him up?

“Tomás may not have been... planned, but he is no less wanted. I don’t understand, give him up-- where? And why? No one can know what he is going through better than Rictor and I. He is not to be given away, he’s not a sweater for fekt’s sake.”

Bo was excited to finally be allowed to go on her date with Tomas. She had spent the best part of Saturday afternoon getting ready. She had tried on several outfits before ending up wearing what she had originally picked out at the mall. Butterflies were in her tummy as she sat in her room waiting for Tomas to arrive.
