I struggle here. I really do. At times, our current situation can be so bleak, so very hard, but God has promised to be there, and He has offered us a path to joy. As I write this, I'm afraid. I'm afraid I've lost something, someone, very special to me. I know that God is in the details. He will be with me, always. He knows my son, even before I speak it. He knows my pain, even before I feel it. He knows my heart. God knows the pain, and He knows the fear, within me. I'm leaning on this verse today, and trusting God will be near me. My joy should be found on Him. My strength, during difficult times, comes from Him. The future is certain, as God has written. He has a plan for our lives, and it will be done. The author of Proverbs tells us that God will protect the path of the faithful. In this particular verse, it suggests that God guard the course of ones life, if they are faithful. Faithful suggests we are unwavering in our allegiance to God. This doesn't mean we have to be perfect, or sinless. This gives us freedom to live in faith, knowing God will guide us, love us, and protect us.
