From the moment Chloé woke up in this distorted version of Paris, things had not been going her way. First that noisy hologram thing wouldn’t shut up, then she noticed her real phone was missing. To top it all off, her hair was a disaster!

Chloé let out a loud, annoyed shreik. “I swear, when I find whoever took my phone, daddy’s gonna make them pay!”

Chloé turned around, not noticing that someone else had been in the plaza as well. “Well, what are you looking at? Maybe stop standing there like some slackjawed idiot and be useful and find my phone for me!”

Visitors were more than few and far between these days. It was almost as if Selphia had become something of a tourist trap, really─ what with the castle and the dragon and all the other attractions around. Leon couldn’t say he liked it all that much, but... well, there wasn’t much he could do about it. He might as well make the best of it, and right now, that meant investigating some rather interesting rumors: a girl, a new arrival in town, had some sort of magical power that hadn’t been seen before.

                  Interesting, indeed.

He found her early that day, when the sun still hung low on the morning horizon, and he approached her with all the caution he was known for... that is to say, none. She couldn’t be that dangerous, after all.
