Are you ready for the 3rd annual Morey week? Because we sure are!! It’s fine to show our love for Morey, our favorite canon gay couple from Teen Wolf! The event will take place from January 24th - January 30th. Day 2 - A Shock or Surprise (Did Corey give Mason the best birthday present in the world? What did Mason do to make Corey cry tears of joy? Give us whatever surprise you like!)

Day 3 - Vacation/Road Trip (Let’s all escape with Mason and Corey for a while as we escape from Beacon Hills. Where are we going? What will our boys learn along the way?)

Day 4 - Musical Endeavors (If Morey was in a musical, which one would it be? What carefully curated playlist would Mason make for his beloved?)

Day 5 - Exploration of Powers/Superpowers (Mason already shared his superpower with Corey, but what if there was more? Does Mason retain powers from being The Beast? What else is Corey capable of doing? Let’s investigate!)

Day 3 - Vacation/Road Trip

Despite being away from Beacon Hills and all the issues that living near the Nemeton can bring, they didn't get the chance to get away and just be all that often. Corey used most of his holidays to get extra work in so that he had money to live off of, his scholarship only getting him so far. He'd never complain though, going to college with Mason was a dream that he'd thought he'd never get. Besides, working hard was nothing new to him, extra hours so he had the money to take Mason out somewhere a bit nicer when his paycheck came, it was worth it.

This year though, Mason convinced him they both needed a break, and Corey, well, it was hard for him to argue with that. Mason worked just as hard as he did at school, and his classload was distinctly weighed heavier than Corey's. Making sure Mason didn't push himself to a burn out was just as important as a few extra hours over spring break.

Taking a week off from work, from everything, they didn't even have a plan, or a place, which was nothing like Mason, and yet, it turned into the most wondrous of trips. They just got into the car, and drove.

It didn't matter where the road took them for that week, only that they went together.

For Day 6 of Morey Appreciation Week, I wanted to explore a missing scene from canon. For invisible shenanigans, I wanted to see a brief snippet of Corey’s perspective as they came up with the plan for him to sneak into the school to alert Mason that they hadn’t left. So here’s my aesthetic and snippet I created.

“It has to be you.”

For the first time in his life, Corey is speechless. He’s never imagined himself to be an integral part of the McCall pack, still always existing just on the fringes, but now there’s a group of faces all watching him across the metal surgical table. He’s never been the center of a plan before, not one with good intentions at least, and it makes his palms sweat. Rubbing them against his thighs, he flicks his gaze over to Liam who offers him a subtle nod.

“Me?” His voice thankfully doesn’t shake as he raises the question.

“It’s not like the rest of us can turn invisible,” Malia scoffs. Lydia gives her a sharp look and an elbow dig against her rib cage. “Come on, we were all thinking it!” Malia defends as she rubs her side.

“But I’m not a surprise to them anymore. They know that I can turn invisible. What if they expect me?” He thinks back to the last time he tried to be invisible inside the school with Liam’s life on the line. He would have died if Coach Finstock hadn’t intervened to stop Gabe and Nolan from beating him to a pulp. This is Mason’s life they’re talking about. Corey can’t knowingly put him at risk.

“We have to let him know he isn’t alone. Monroe will be tied up at school and no one will be able to ditch classes without causing a bigger scene. You can do this.” Scott says gently, drawing his gaze and holding it. “Do you trust anyone else here with Mason’s life?”

“No.” He doesn’t have to think on it. If anyone’s going to risk it all to reach Mason, it should be him. At least he can be a shield and buy his boyfriend some time if they were caught. “All right. I’ll go to the school and convince him to come here. If I don’t make it…” His voice quivers and Liam sets a hand on his shoulder.

“You will.”

Day 1: Missing From Canon

First Date

Mason parks in front of the diner and smooths down the front of his sweater. He's not too underdressed for milkshakes, is he? No, he's meeting Corey at a diner, not a five star restraunt. He's dressed just fine. Probably.

He takes a deep breath and grips the steering wheel. He can do this. He's been on dates with cute boys before. Never one who claims packship with a murderer before, though. Or one who's died.

What do you even say to a guy who was dead a week ago? Mason hadn't known what to say in the library and he still doesn't know now. He had managed to got the cute boy to ask him out, so there's something, he supposes. But Liam expects him to make this date some kind of interrogation disguised as a date and Mason doesn't think he can do that.

He's not sure if he can.

He's stalled long enough. He's gotta go in now before he's late. Mason takes one more deep breath and exits the car to start his date with Corey Bryant.
