The Despair of Brothers
Asura’s hand on his shoulder had been insistent and Kid found himself being dragged through the city after his brother. There was no explanation except that there was something he had to see. However, when it came to his older brother, that could mean anything. After fifteen minutes of Asura trying to rediscover whatever he had seen, Kid got sick of him and threw his hand off.
“Kid, don’t be a prick! I told you I saw something-” Asura shouted at him as Kid summoned his board to leave.
“Get off!” He responded, kicking at the hand that Asura reached up to grab hold of Beezlebub with. Of course, that only urged his brother on and soon enough he found himself slapping away his hands and grabbing his own handful of hair in revenge.
“Wait, there-!” Asura suddenly changed his tone, shoving him off and pointing. Kid suddenly understood the reason he had been so interested in pursuing whatever he had seen. It seemed that there was a visitor to the city. One that wasn’t the usual human or weapon/meister coming to learn. In fact, she was very different indeed. Both of them stood and brushed themselves down a little as they saw her walking into the town centre.
“Who is she?” Kid asked, looking down from the roof they stood together on at her soul in particular. “There’s divinity in her.”
“Ares...” Asura answered, causing Kid’s stomach to drop. “This should be interesting...”
