Brunch All Day Everyday at Morgans Restaurant Miami
I had the pleasure of checking out Morgans Restaurant Miami for dinner recently with the Foodie Tribe and I was pleasantly surprised to have brunch for dinner. It might seem weird to some but trust me, all the items on the menu are so delicious you will want a breakfast burrito and the frittata any time of day or night.
The chicken and waffle sandwich was the highlight of the dinner with the added kick of maple syrup and Sriracha combination for dipping.
I started it off with a signature specialty cocktail - The Front Porch Paloma with tequila, grapefruit and lime. It was ideal because I was in a tequila mood. There are a few other specialty cocktails on the menu to choose from that all look great.
The chickpea chicken cilantro soup of the day was warm and hearty and tasted like momma would make. It was perfect for a cool Miami fall night. It was filled with chicken chunks and potato.
The huge belly full breakfast burrito with pork, cheddar cheese, black beans, rice avocado, pickled onions, salsa and a fried egg of course was a lot to savor and all blended well. The picture above also shows the goodness inside the huge burrito.
The perfectly fluffy Frittata with mushrooms, chorizo, green and red peppers, caramelized onions, tomatoes, potatoes, gruyere cheese, topped with fresh arugula salad was to die for. I have a weak spot for cheese with a slight burn that makes the frittata so crispy and delicious. It was just the amount of potatoes and cheese.
Of course after all the food I still had to find room for dessert. Morgan’s is very well known for its homemade cookies and well I could only taste one at the restaurant but luckily I was able to take the rest home with me. You have to wait 30 mins for them to be perfectly baked but they are well worth the wait. Our server was happy to offer milk to wash down our warm oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies.
Morgan’s is perfectly nestled in Wynwood and is a very well established weekend brunch spot but just remember you can have brunch all day everyday at Morgan’s.
