yeah like i did a bit of research out of curiosity a bit ago on inuit naming culture. they don’t seem to have surnames but family names are very important, so perhaps he has three names and just preferred to go by varrick…

yeh!!!! also since he has an actual title ("sir" iqniq blackstone varrick) maybe he wanted some kind of recognizability factor??? or maybe he made a name for himself in the circus and he was known only by his last name while he performed, so he decided to capitalize on that when he went into business?????? so many theories......

i took it as like icknick or however it would be spelled was his surname but like how it is in japan and possibly inuit cultures how the surname is presented before the first name. that is just how i took it. idk

yeah thats what i thought at first too!!!! but then i realized the naming trend in avatar-verse is closer to the western practice of family name after given name-- asami's full name is "asami sato" and she's the daughter of "hiroshi sato" (same for all the beifongs and "buttercup raiko", who's president raiko's wife)

i like my eyes

i’m proud of how far my editing skills have come - i’m still MILES behind other people, but considering where i used to be, i’m a little happy

um. i try to be nice and positive as much as possible? like, i’m generally a really easy-going, friendly person, and i put effort into making people happy if it’s something easy i can do (like give people cookies, compliment people, send them links to cute things)

i’ve managed to keep my garden alive! and i’m happy about how many nice things i can cook with my herbs <3

uhhhh…. i take decent photographs, i guess.

i didn’t mean that, it’s just that people always write off sokka like that? HAH you’re right he’s probably super uncomfortable about it for a long time and is then like *deep sigh* “ok kids,i’m gonna bleach my entire mind. don’t fuck up”

Yeah I think that characterization is a little weird- Sokka cares for Katara, for sure, but I think that after all his character development it's pretty clear that he also trusts her to make her own decisions

Sokka would try to get away with being really vague at first like "you put your thing into her thing and it feels good and that's what you want okay??" but Aang's just like "what why though" and Sokka's like "you're the damn Avatar can't you just read a scroll on this or something why this why me"

This entire conversation would be oogies for Sokka. He would literally repress the entire memory with the word "oogie"

He'd basically be like "brain? this is literally all you need to know about what happened. do not delve any further."
