I scrolled your blog to find it, I found nothing and realised I probably misinterpreted what you said, and you might not have made any yet…… so when it is revealed I will be very happy. It’s like waiting for a really cool movie to come out. Making as much fan art if it as you can before the undisclosed release date. (I know she knows about beta!Wally’s killing spree, but not that he was possessed by Home when it happened. Did Wally tell her or did she find out some other way?)

The silly Aleisha Lore I made up is very simple squimple. She never had a classic puppet, as she only appeared in a one off animation or storkbook, that has since become lost media. But the reboot team hired autistic nerds and were able to excavate it anyways… they theorised that classic!Aleisha was based off a real person.
Legend has it that one of the writers or designers was trying to rizz up another member of the team and thought a good way to get to their heart was to do something nice for their kids, who were sometimes brought to the set. So they designed two characters based off of them, and now the kids get to say they were in a show they like. (I recently found out that purplume, genius they are, already mcfreaking had this exact idea and implemented way cooler than me. I cried whilst also being in deep awe because Donnie’s awesome btw. Drawing him when the Mori saga’s finally over, and after I draw that other person’s OC… I have a lot on my plate. Myra too she’s also great, goated even… because she’s… a goat…*gets hit with a steel chair*)
The kid that Classic!Aleisha was designed after would often draw the characters and bring in the drawings to show off, so they made her character an artist and her best interactions were with Wally, a fellow artist. She was only given a basic one-note characterisation, no negative traits or struggles, since she was just written as a child’s fluff fantasy. Bottom line, she wasn’t a full person, just the idea of one.
Therefore, when the reboot team shazow life and fake memories and a pre-determined personality into her, she was only given a faint outline. A structure that didn’t even need to be stuck to. It meant that, whilst all other characters were recreations of another person, Aleisha had all this room to grow into her own person. To herself, her self, because she’s a self insert, ahh, aha, haha, see? So smarttt… yeeeeahhh…
Uh anyways- I thought the reboot team wouldn’t start adding characters that weren’t in the core cast until their Era 2 (yes I have headcanons…soooo many headcanons). They’d try to appease the original fans by sticking to characters from the source material, but in Era 3 they’d give in to their fan instincts and make original characters (Monday and the like). So Aleisha gets to both have the experience of a new cast member, and also meet new cast members later.
The reason they made reboot!Aleisha the same/similar age as Wally despite classic!Aleisha being a very marketable kid could actually be for any reason. Maybe they wanted to distance her from the very real kid she was based off, since around the 90s the general population started realising how depraved people can be (that or it was just out of respect). Or, the opposite direction, the creative team (separate to the producers who are doing all the culty sentient puppet stuff, these guys had no clue what they were getting themselves into) had the idea that they could get in contact with the girl Aleisha was based off and have her voice the character herself (for a second time, if she’d been in an animated short)…given the whole sentient puppet reality show thing, that never ended up happening. Finally the writing team might have thought that a child character simply wasn’t flexible or entertaining enough, or that kids watching the show would start wondering where she came from, why she’s not in school, who her parents are… and then they’d need to make more puppets, and more characters, and do more soul transfusions… tbh that last ones my favourite it’s so real lmao-
The synthetic soul Aleisha possessed only determined a handful of qualities. Hobbies (drawing), surface-level personality (layers beneath ofc developed on their own), and a potential pre-existing attachment to Wally (or at least the idea of him). That last one’s inspired, again, by the fact that as a ✨yumeship self-insert✨ she would have an awareness of the character already, even if its subconscious, whilst Wally would have to get to know her organically. That being said, your art has confirmed Wally freaking immediately wanted her (pathetic lil reboot man, he love u, he loooovee uuu) and also was intimidated by how incredibly cool she comes off as (and is but she also seems a lil awkward gegege) and that’s so funny. That’s so so funny. You make Reboot so funny it’s unreal.
Final notes, I gave this same backstory to my self insert! Similar one, ehh… And I thought, “that’s really cool, and a completely original idea that no-ones ever thought of before!” (And then I found out about Donnie’s siblings lmao). And I then thought “yk what would make this cooler? If I shared it 👀 with my fav 👀 my fav creator… yesyes…”
So classic!Aleisha had a stupid older brother who was always falling asleep and forgetting to do things (the prop maker who kept bringing their kids in got in on the plan and wanted to make fun of their son…also they got engaged to the designer a year later and they would have got married if they hadn’t all been brutally slaughtered…I love my NPCs) and the plot of their animated short/storybook chapter/whatever was that half the neighbourhood were running around helping him look for his sister, and the other half were just chilling with her, drawing and snacking and having a grand old time.
The reboot team had already made an Andy puppet (that’s his name lollll, Andy Sweetheart…another things that’s not original at all, it’s the same surname as @cate-the-great’s oc. Hi cate! Your oc has cool rainbow hair and I’m drawing her before was used as a prototype in the earlier stages of production. Made of crappy material that didn’t hold up, and he wasn’t a core cast member anyways, so after using him to make sure the sentient puppet stuff worked he was just left lying around. Someone on the creative team was told to throw him out but they didn’t want to (felt bad, waste of craftsmanship) so they kept him as an office pet. Andy’s whole saga is just fucking around with everything behind the scenes. Every time I try to make a self-insert they just spiral off into their own character and I just have to watch them scamper off into the sunset without me…
But what I was getting to! Is that they ofc don’t have to be siblings in the reboot if you don’t want that. Just friends. Aleisha makes friends with the zombie-lookin guy in the walls. He knows things (so does she, probably. He’s like “I know this stuff, s’gon blow your mind!” And she’s all “oh ya I already knew that hehe”). He’s discovered by the producers and thrown into the show in Era 3, where he takes on a sort of mad scientist role. He makes buggles out of the scraps of his skin that fall off and uses them to spy on people (he sees what they see like subway surfers footage on the side of a screen)
Consider this the 100% inaccurate Game Theory video on your sona gegehehehe. All just making stuff up and the like… I’m enticed by what the truth may be. That’s enough yapping tho, respite is over, I must get back to drawing Mori… *dramatic departure*
