Two Retainers Of The Oda
There was 2 of the most known retainers of the Oda in one place. You have Ranmaru Mori, a 'personal' favorite of Nobunaga. The sad thing is he was the only one who was loyal truly to Nobunaga, as his friend Mitsuhide trampled that honor. But no, Ranmaru met the cruelest Retainer possible. The personal bane of Nobunaga even, and the one who gave the Oda Clan their cruelty of others. Even the purges brought on people. The Nihilist Matsunaga Hisahide.
He looks adorably innocent despite the sword he carries... I wonder what it would look like if he had blood on that outfit.. I can probably see why Nobunaga liked him, He kept clean but loyal for his lord.
However Matsunaga made a grin to Ranmaru, They knew each other. But maybe Ranmaru wished they didn't. That didn't help his favor for Matsunaga however.

-- [ How long had it been since last the army rested? If one were to count back the years, perhaps the answer might been received. However, war was far from the minds of the forces of the Oda. Now, all that was thought of was temporary peace. Now, all were free to relax and spend their time as they pleased. However, their lord spent his in the confines of his study. Pouring thoughts and unspoken inquires over old scrolls, even the sound of someone waiting by the sliding doors did little to hinder his concentration. ]

mori-naritoshi replied to your post: //. Would anyone like to plot?
{{I never plotted before, I wanna try! :3c}}
//. It would be a pleasure to introduce you to plotting! I shall send you a message in a moment so that we may discuss what sort of plot we will have.
jixieshouxiaozhi replied to your post: //. Would anyone like to plot?
[i would certainly not mind. I am currently at a loss as to how to fully interact with your character and my own for your generalized role-play.]
//. Ah. Forgive me for not providing one that was of more use to you. I shall send a message to you as well.
Hope and Aftermath
In the years following the Hydra's defeat, most would-be warriors and leaders returned to their usual routines. China and Japan were in a state of decay after the Hydra was slain, but slowly and surely, those warriors who gave their blades to defend the land, pieced it back together as they had done in the past.
In due time, things returned to normal, and life, as it should be, was peaceful. There was the occasional skirmish, siege, and disagreements, but for the most part, the lords and ladies of both lands, China and Japan, stayed their blades from all out war.
- Annals of the new Age, Chapter 2
-----
We now go to present day Japan, Kyoto, the capital. It is there, that the ikko-ikki have been constructing a new Temple, one to replace Ishiyama-Honganji, the great cathedral that fell to the forces of Nobunaga Oda years before the current troubles.
Their leader, Kennyo, is overseeing the project, and as expected, progress is steady, but improving with each passing day.
Currently, he finds himself in Kyoto's main marketplace, searching for supplies as per his usual routine. However today, he was bound to run into someone, unique.
"I will never understand how the people in the west make such odd contraptions.." Said the monk, as he observed a wide variety of imported goods. The crowd around him was large, and he wasnt exactly paying attention to the people who passed him by.
-- [ Who would be so bold as to approach the black king and for what reason? Perhaps out of foolishness or a desire to serve a far less annoying purpose? ]
-- [ Ah-h-h.... but the true intent would reveal itself soon. If patience permitted so. The patriarch hence spoke with commanding words. ]
"What is it you want....? Speak quickly."
