Happy 21st of September everybody. I definitely timed this whole tournament to end today on purpose, for sure. This was always the plan.
Come and enjoy some funeral potatoes with our Burned Man. I heard if you leave your scriptures open to your favorite verse Angel Moroni might visit and leave you a treat tonight.
Kronk (Headcanon)
Kronk is Yzma's assistant from the Emperor's New Groove, but is a kind and moral person. He's athletic, happy-go-lucky, and a boy scout. Kronk is a canonically Jewish man in ancient South America, which makes him very likely to be a Nephite. He is also a boy scout.
Joshua Graham (Canon)
Joshua Graham, “The Burned Man,” appears as an NPC in the Honest Hearts DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. (said DLC is likely riddled with problems related to Native American representation) But Graham is a popular character, he is a legendary figure in the history of the Mormons, the Legion, and tribes of former northwestern United States. Born in New Canaan, Graham experienced both the lofty heights of power and the depths of despair, first as the military commander of the Legion under Edward Sallow, then as the fallen Burned Man and a prodigal son. His stubborn refusal to die after being cast into the Grand Canyon elevated him to mythical status, striking fear into the hearts of superstitious legionaries and members of tribes of Utah and neighboring states.
He also said the following quotes: “I survived because the fire inside burned brighter than the fire around me.”
“ I have been baptized twice, once in water, once in flame. I will carry the fire of the holy spirit inside until I stand before my Lord for judgment.”
Born and raised in New Canaan, a Mormon settlement in post-apocalypse Ogden, Utah. He served as a missionary to the Blackfoot tribe, co-founded a fascist replica of Rome, then realized the error of his ways after being set on fire and thrown off the Hoover Dam. He returned to New Canaan, found acceptance, rekindled his faith, and now seeks redemption and revenge against the legion he founded.
Apologies for the delay folks, I have been having A Week (tm) but here we are!!!!

Joshua Graham, who briefly left our tournament, has returned for a last chance at the winning spot! A former Mormon Missionary, he is known as The Burned Man in local folk legends. His stubborn refusal to die after being cast into the Grand Canyon elevated him to mythical status, striking fear into the hearts of superstitious legionaries and members of tribes of Utah and neighboring states.
Quote: “ I have been baptized twice, once in water, once in flame. I will carry the fire of the holy spirit inside until I stand before my Lord for judgment.”
or will you vote for
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl! This headcanon has made it all the way to the final round! Although not created by a Mormon, and not canonically Mormon, her novels were written by Shannon Hale, a beloved LDS author.
Doreen is an upbeat hero who has defeated some of Marvel's big bads -- including Doctor Doom and Thanos! She knows the benefits of teamwork, and almost always tries to help the bad guys find ways to stop their no-good ways (ie repent). Plus, with her winning streak it's easy to believe she's got the power of God on her side.
After Kronk's hasty departure, all you lovely followers voted to bring Joshua back into the game!

Lilo Pelekai (Headcanon)
Since Lilo Pelekai’s parents died in a car crash, she’s been living under custody of her older sister Nani. She’s lonely and emotional and nothing seems to go her way, until she meets a mysterious, behaviorally-challenged ‘dog’ that isn’t all that he seems. Maybe this is kind of a stretch, but there’s a strong Mormon presence in like, Polynesia, Samoa, etc, and so it stands to reason there’d be a good amount of church members in Hawai’i. There was definitely a big, friendly ward when I got to visit Kaua’i! It also strikes me how strong Lilo and Nani’s conception of family is, ‘Ohana,’ and we know that’s a big tenet of our religion is eternal families. I imagine the issue of race in the church would make things a little rocky, for them, and being Mormon would definitely create an in for that stupid redhead girl to bully her. I imagine Nani would’ve gone a bit inactive in her teen years and then gravitated back to church with the death of her parents. Maybe I just like to think they have hope of seeing their parents again, y’know?

Agatha Larsen (Canon)
She may be a minor incidental character in the comic but she's a major character in our hearts <3 Agatha's most notable traits are being ineffably pleasant and good-natured. Her biggest contribution to the plot was as a punchline; when an evangelical classmate blackmailed the dorm's RA into sanctioning a dorm prayer meeting, she and a hippie were the only two people who cheerfully offered to join her, to her despair. Agatha is also noticeably absent from said evangelical's harassment campaign against a trans dorm resident so hell yes trans rights
She's explicitly stated in the comic to be a Mormon!
Jerry Gergich (Headcanon)
Jerry is a government worker at parks and rec. He is the butt of many jokes, known for being overly polite, supportive, and hardworking despite the abuse his coworkers give him due to his overly clumsy behavior.
His unashamed devotion to his family, his devoted worth ethics, he sings to and with his blue eyed blond wife and their 3 blue eyed blond daughters. He's a devoted Christian

Din Djarin (Headcanon)
Din Djarin ("Mandalorian" or "Mando" for anyone who hasn't achieved Lv10 friendship with him) was adopted as a child into a very orthodox sect of Mandalorians shortly before the Galactic Empire razed Mandalore and sent its people into diaspora. In the present, he works as a bounty hunter, and a particular bounty has put him in the path of a young force-sensitive child he has to protect from harm.
We love a family-oriented man who is devout to a faith with strict rules and a peculiar dress code that other people keep denigrating as a cult!!
Colin Hughs (Headcanon)
Colin is a gay football (soccer) player from Wales. He's a talented player and a delight to be around, but is often sidelined. He knew he was gay from a very young age and eventually came out to his football team, who were all very supportive.
I'm pretty sure his boyfriend made a comment about him not drinking caffeine and my brain went ooh why not, Colin??? And it was for football reasons but I've decided he's Mormon and that makes me happy because I love him
Doreen Green AKA Squirrel Girl (Headcanon)
Doreen Green is a superhero with all the powers of a squirrel and a girl! She has fought some of the biggest bads in the Marvel universe (like Doctor Doom and Thanos) and won! She is able to communicate with squirrel and they help her in her crime fighting endeavors. It doesn't seem possible for her to lose. Doreen doesn't just beat up bad guys, she is dead set on helping them reform. Whenever she fights, she tries to talk to the villain about what's really bothering them, and help them find an alternate way to work out their issues. She seems to truly believe in the power of repentance and forgiveness. Plus, with her winning streak it's easy to believe she's got the power of God on her side
Brett Hand (Headcanon)
Brett Hand is the co-team leader at Cognito, Inc., alongside Reagan Ridley. He was hired and microchipped by J.R. Scheimpough to help Reagan because of her intense anger issues and difficulties in social interactions. He is voiced by Clark Duke.” (From the Inside Job wiki) He is almost toxically optimistic and constantly desperate for validation and positive feedback. He currently works for the “Shadow Government,” but suffers from severe anxiety and worries he has no individual personality or even a favorite color. He is from a larger family (7 kids), has a constant smile on his face, his positivity is almost toxic, and is the “guy with Mormon energy” according to the character Myc.
Jim Hawkins (Canon)
He's a teen that thinks the Book of Mormon is a joke, gets a few lessons thrown at his head through life and death situations, and comes out on top of his testimony. His faith goes through phases of strength. By the end, he has an unbelievably strong testimony and gives that legacy to his family.
