Adric Didn't Kill the Dinosaurs (/silly)
Commonly held fan speculation and EU factoid, that Adric and the Cybership were the Chicxulub Impactor that killed the Dinosaurs 65 Million Years ago.
Original special effects depict modern Earth and depict Asia but we can forgive them due to being made in the 80s.
But here are the remastered special edition effects.

Africa, South America and North America are far further apart than they are in Earthshock.
In fact Earthshock corresponds to something more akin to this
