Anyway thoughts bellow involving the new redesigns

I HATE so much the path they are taking with the remodels, i understood theyd likely need them and was happy they got a team but i hoped they’d keep the original art style and implement it in better way with more variety, it was charming and simple the perfect combination between cute and uncanny too, i knew they’d need remodels but i was hoping that the art style would at least be implemented in a better way/more efficiently but not be ditched almost completely

This is the face of someone who has witnessed horrors and became one with them and brought an uncanny feeling in a comforting way similar to old childhood games plus it made it far more unique than the average roblox game, the new one reminds me way too much of the way mascots are rounded around the edges to make them clean and child appealing, i understood secretary since they were too similar to ron and the new one being a sheep it makes sense for them to look rounded up but LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO HIS ANTLERS 😭 HIS UNCANNY VACANT THOUSAND YARD STARE EYES ARE NOW JUST A SIMPLE STARE

I know stockholm syndrome will eventually get me but rn i am mourning his antlers and the loss of an art style i love and suffer a severe lack of and my only comfort is that he has some sharp edges to his design but even then the new ears he has alongside the skin around his antlers being so round make those remnants of sharpness less noticeable and idk i am just reminded of all the kids that moved from dw to this since it reminds me of dandy world a lot now

Thoughts i had while yapping about it on discord but yeah, i wish they had done more subtle changes

Went to see the backrooms movie with my mom yesterday and I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. It made two hours feel like one at most and sure one of the only downsides i can see is how they ended it but it had nothing to do with what happened JUST THAT IT LEFT ME CRAVING FOR MORE. if they ever make another one i need it to be FOUR HOURS MINIMUM like DEAR GOD i loved it so much

I absolutely love the way they painted the guy like, a good way to paint someone with anger issues maybe on the strong side of it sure but he SEEKED help for that and even when his sanity got compromised he still did not want to outright hurt the girl who btw her whole job as a psychiatrist/therapist feels like a scam because like girl he does seem to know when things are his fault why do you think he is seeing you, girl have you prescribed him with some calming stuff, girl how can you confuse some signs of what i assumed was withdrawal symptoms with being drunk, but it made her character just pop up more no one in this movie is a complete angel nor are they villanous to an extreme degree, sure the “antagonist” was a backrooms copy of the guy but i love how it wasnt a straight jab at his character, he had anger issues and thats what the backrooms remembered of him on the surface it did not get any of the internal conflicts he had, none of the humanity and idk but that makes it so fucking tasty its like the personification of what a person that hates you/doesnt like you sees you as without really knowing you on a deeper level besides a few glances or smt
