Another interesting litter dropped today! 9 live one still.

I grabbed the dam back in '21 to make Redrum Jablonski super stripe hets and it looks like jungle snuck in. I wasn't quite ready to introduce jungle to the SS project but at least it's easy to see! As expected the combination of an incomplete dominant gene that produces striping with a recessive stripe line produces hella stripes. The jungle het SS combo outputs full blown tri-striping typical of visual super stripes, with some minor differences (a wider center stripe, for one).

I'm looking forward to seeing how these guys develop, and will probably be hanging on to most of this litter.

Tiny litter born here this morning! Pairing was an aby (from Mike’s 2011 Ultimate Aby litter) x OT hypo het super stripe. I was hoping to prove out the dam a visual super stripe in ‘19 but she proved out het. It’s worth noting this is the second litter this male sired and again it was high slug count, and I retired him after his work over winter. These kids are aby and OT hypo aby 50% poss het super stripe. I was hoping the aby bloodline in conjunction with the SS gene would produce significant striping despite the hypo, and that assumption appears to have been correct. 3/5 have significant striping. Furthermore, I am happy to note that none of the striping appears significantly similar to the visual super stripes I have produced thus far.
