Iven been playing the game  Morphite to satisfied my Metroid 4 withdraws. Its an okay game. The story keeps things interesting and the characters are good.

I recently played trough Morphite. It was a fine Scifi Exploration Action Game. The Metroidvania Elements are e great Idea in a open Universe Game. I heard they working on a Update where you can actually steer your Spaceship. I hope it will be out soon.

Morphite - First Impressions

It’s hard to believe that Morphite has already been out for a year and it still flew under my radar. Featuring stunning 3D vector graphics, an original soundtrack, and an interesting sci-fi plot set in a stylized universe, this game is a rare gem worth spending on.

The game follows the story of Myrah Kale, a resident on a space station raised by Mr. Mason who sends her out to exploratory missions. Together with her robot sidekick, KitCat, they embark on an adventure to unlock Myrah’s past and the truth behind a highly coveted yet nearly-extinct material called Morphite.

Right off the bat, there is no question that Morphite has the perfect recipe for a great game: simple controls, charming visuals and a series of small missions peppered with plot points to keep you hooked and intrigued. The main storyline seems to be fully voiced, with cutscenes happening at every checkpoint.

I really appreciate how even the tutorial for the controls was worked into the story, it introduces you to the setting and the characters right away. The only snag I’ve encountered is the placement of shoot and jump buttons: being so close together, I sometimes find myself jumping when I intend to shoot. There’s also a bit of inconvenience when switching between the scanner and plasma pistols. It would be better if it was reduced to a button instead of a sliding menu that can mistakingly be triggered while trying to navigate in the game.

Another thing to remember before you go out and play Morphite, the developers noted that phones from 2015 onwards are required to run the game. There’s so much more to discover within this game, as the worlds outside the main storyline are randomly generated. Prepare yourself for encounters with different space creatures and space stations teeming with alien invaders.
