@ira he's only been in a few scenes so far. He is not OVERWHELMINGLY swishy but he's definitely not, like, Masculine.

my DA:O warden is literally just me as an elf mage. and he runs off with zevran at the end to be a warden forever bc i am a dork
cassan was actually a character from one of my doomed attempts at comic writing during high school, who i imported because i (correctly) assumed she'd be fun to play. my first warden was just me as a city elf tbh

i could go to them since i myself do not actually have insurance but also they're run on a volunteer basis and it would take a long time, apparently.
i will say theyre pretty great tho their mental health division helped me get started with finding a diagnosis and getting a therapist

chabon has a bit of Great American Novelist in him in that he kinda puts women on a pedestal in a v. objectifying way. that’s the only complaint i have about him that isn’t “wonder boys was Awkward”
he definitely does that. either that or he presents them as the naggy force holding back men. Mrs. Klayman in TAAoKaK definitely does that, and the main character's girlfriend in Mysteries of Pittsburgh kind of ends up portrayed as a shrew who stops the main character from being his true gay self (which, I guess there are definitely situations where that might be true, but given the rest of Chabon's work it's kind of frustrating)
mortalstardust a réagi à votre billet :i should get back to reading those LPs of christine love's games, bc i can't afford the games themselves
what’s the recommended play order, again? i keep confusing digital and analogue w/ each other bc of the names
digital -> analogue -> hate plus, although the only one of those that's super important is that hate plus comes after analogue (since it's a direct sequel and a lot of stuff won't make sense if you haven't read analogue first).
digital is set thousands of years before either, and on a different planet (Earth), so there's not so much in the way of direct relations, the only reason I recommend playing digital first is that playing analogue will spoil the AI naming convention thing from digital, although if you've read any of the LPs of any of them you probably already know that (it's not really pivotal to digital, but it does spoil a little bit because you'll recognize a certain character as an AI before the game wants you to)

idk how good the LPs are, but digital is free so imo at least play that one
