After having made planetfall, the Lords of Dawn made their way towards the source of a nearby distress signal; A detachment of Janissaries that had been slaughtered to the last...or had they?
“Be on your guard.” The Dawnlord progressed. “Any signs of survivors?” He looked over the bodies mournfully, trying to identify what may have taken their lives. Blade? Claw? Bolt? Eyes scanned for a hint of breath, a fluttering chest that might yet prove sign of life. “Not yet my lord...wait.” Korivan stopped and then quickly turned, heading towards what he believed might be a survivor.

The Lords of Dawn tried not to make landfall as much as possible, however when supplies began to run scarce there was little they could do but depart from their ship and seek to barter with the local populace. This was usually where issues began to arise.
There were many things that the first captain admired about his lord...however at times his innate need to help...could be troublesome. Xarlon had known the second they’d made landfall that their Lord would insist on helping the local populace by offering to fortify their planetary capital.
An offer that the planetary governor had taken up happily. And so here they were, assisting in the fortification of a city of mortals, stuck in their armor near constantly. At least the work was nearly done...The first captain sighed and leaned against the nearby wall. Soon they would return to the ship and depart for space once more. It was only a matter of being patient.
