The Captain's a stand-up fellow. Best not cross his First Mate.
I wanted to paint a classic rpg companion portrait for my current d&d character (Fortunato, tiefling swashbuckler, certified good guy). Re-uploaded because the brightness got crunched the first time.
handmade thank you card for some dear friends of mine 🌼🍂 the gold doesn't really read in these photos but oh well. dragon stamp was designed and cut by @goat-boots
What's the point of thinking up an absurdly beautiful man if you're not going to objectify the fuck out of him? I want to keep track of Fortunato's looks throughout the campaign, so I made myself a little combination dress-up doll / reference sheet for uhh well. The outfit he got kidnapped in.
The campaign is set in the late 20s (adjusted for fantasy bullshit) and we're up to our necks in the french drow revolution. He's a swashbuckler rogue, a goon in the Neverwinter mob, and a hyperkinetic freak who can't turn down a duel to literally save his life. It adds up to a fun melange of visual influences, and I want to try and keep his style conceptually tight as the game goes on.
'Aszitki' tieflings are a subculture specific to Neverwinter that are half watsonian explanation for why this guy is fantasy italian and half actual worldbuilding project for me: a nerd. They speak a unique dialect of Infernal (very) loosely rooted in sicilian, and kind of problematise respectability politics for other city tieflings by embracing and celebrating a lot of the negative stereotypes leveled at their kind. It's fun! I love to make up a culture almost as much as I love to microaggress italians.
New guy for a dnd game. Sicllian Tiefling rogue, bootlegger, and sports fan. T-shirt that says 'don't duel me, I'll cum'.
A playlist for Fortunato, my italian tiefling swashbuckler who has been alive for one single session and has already crossed the Neverwinter mob and been kidnapped by communists. There is truly nothing in the world like a brand new oc to active every creative bone in your body.
The Dogs at Duskfall is finally out, and I wanted to draw something to celebrate the release! It's such a fun, sexy romp, and I got to pay tribute to a host of my favourite pulp genres while writing for @ohcorny's philandering folklorist Roger Crenshaw. This is the first lengthy piece of fiction I've published in about ten years, and I really really really hope people enjoy it.
Pick it up here (18+) and let me know what you think!
