“I got a phone call early in the morning from Hellhammer, and he told me that Øystein was dead. He said he wanted to talk to Øystein, but he didn’t pick up, so he called around, and then he called his parents, because he thought he was there, and they told him that he had been found dead on the stairs. That’s how I found out. I was shocked when I heard it. So I was thinking the whole day about who could have done this, and I know that a lot of people hate people that go to the police and tell stuff, but that’s what I did. But I couldn’t tell who had done it, I told the police: if you want to go to Øystein’s place, his new apartment, he was living in an apartment building and you had to call downstairs, but there was no label, it doesn’t say anything on the doorbell there, so you had to know which one to push, and then - he never said his name, he just said ‘yes’ or ‘hallo’ -and then you had to say who you are so that he’d let you in. He never let people in if he didn’t know them. Even when the postman came there and said that he’s the postman - ‘can you let me in?’- he didn’t let them in. ‘Get the key!’ - and then hang up. So he knew the guy that came, so he opened the door for that guy, and that’s the thing I told the police. He had to know the guy, and the guy had to know which doorbell to ring.”
