Seen a couple "mbj and sqh are married, sqh just doesnt know" posts lately (im eating it UP) and now I raise you this brainrot:

Demon court is pushing heavily on Mobei Jun to get married and start sending in offers of high-standing demon bachelorettes so he can choose.

Shang Qinghua obviously is the one having to go through all the letters and deal with the people who are presenting in person (fuck off!).

He's ranting while reading the offers. Who the fuck is this clan, they've been on the list for next slaughtered with the bullshit they keep pulling! And this Princess? She tried to kill you only six months ago! What the actual fuck! None of these are good enough for you, my King. But don't worry, I'll make sure they know and will work hard to find one worthy.

Mobei Jun is just watching him, with a small smirk and unblinking eyes. He's unbothered. Worst-case scenario Qinghua pairs him up with someone, he can just have them and their entire clan killed. Best case scenario Qinghua realises he's the only one to have proven himself worthy of this King and they get married.

Mobei makes a mental note to get more extravagant jewels and robes and furniture made up for his beloved Qinghua. And maybe another couple hunts for bigger and more deadly monsters to present to Qinghua, too.

He loves it when he plays hard to get.

Moshang's size kink is always Shang Qinghua being into a giant demon guy and his giant boobs and giant dick.

We never talk about Mobei Jun being obsessed with being able to fit so much of his human in his hands and mouth. He's a mouthful/handful in the best ways possible.

Loves how large his hands are in comparison to Qinghua's body. How it takes two of his human's hands to fit around his demon cock*. And how he fits snug in Mobei's embrace.

Mobei just /staring/ at Qinghua during a court meeting, unblinking as he fantasises about what parts he's going to bite and grab at as soon as they get a second of alone time.

His teeth ache and fists clench just thinking about it. To some he may look angry but as soon as Qinghua looks up to see what his King thinks but the current affairs being dicussed, he realises he's in for it later because of how intensely he's being stared down.

Years after Mobei Jun and Shang Qinghua wed, with the full title of Empress of the North, Mobei has a thought he needs to voice.

Mbj: Now that you are Queen, equal title to this King, you no longer need to call me your King.

Sqh, after some though: Mmm, but now you really ARE mine.

Mbj externally: 😐

Mbj internally: 😐🫥😳😯😲🤯🥹😭🫠🥰

I did the thing. I sketched a little comic based on the moshang brainrot idea of Mobei Jun giving Shang Qinghua a hairpin for courting, but Qinghua takes it as a hairpin of service to the Northern Kingdom.

I changed how I draw Mobei again 🤷🏻‍♀️ and check out that quality background hahahah

Another dumb lil Moshang comic. Having to use that ots pov twice in one drawing really fucking humbled me. Love the lil desk Qinghua though.

And another Moshang moment, probably the most iconic.

I love this moment because SQH fucking caught his brick house of a boyfriend, mid-air. He's always played out as this book keeping coward, who doesn't fight or do cool stuff but when his bf is in trouble he just acts (see every time mbj is in trouble...which is a lot tbh).

You can't convince me MBJ wasn't internally screaming like a fangirl while outwardly looking shocked or still with a deadpan expression because he isn't quite sure how to react to this typical damsel in distress trope.

Also:

I do love that cumplane always looks out for each other even if they (cucumber-bro mostly) pretend they don't care about each other.

Moshang brainrot thoughts.

Watching Apothecary Dairies and seeing how hairpins are given out as courting gifts, and now all I can think of is Mobei giving Qinghua the fanciest hairpin.

And of course, in proper Moshang tradition, Qinghua assumes it's just a "good job servant" thing and Mobei is all heart eyes and has to literally hold back punching through a wall every time he sees Qinghua wearing it around.

Meanwhile, everyone else knows what it means, but no one says anything because it's so obvious, right?

It's not until maybe Sha Hualing or Binghe or even Linguang Jun makes a throw-away comment about it that Qinghua has an "WHAT?!....oh" moment.

Cue Mobei believing they're one step away from being married happily ever after, and Qinghua maybe being slightly less scared for his life.

I fucking hate them so much (affectionate).

Fanfics got me stewing on how bad Mobei Jun's upbringing was. Like, we know his uncle tried to kill him multiple times and we know he wasn't close with his father and that demons are brutal. Survival of the fittest.

Judging by his cold exterior and his minimal expressions (aka resting bitch face) and his lack of trust in literally anyone; bro had a hard time from an early age.

When your family either doesn't care about you, abandons you, or tries to kill you. It would make you withdrawn and defensive, and that's exactly the vibe he exudes. He doesn't talk unless necessary. He was probably ignored and / or told to shut up a lot in his youth by people he loved.

Then comes along a little man and his never-ending chatter and loyalty. Complete opposite of himself in every way. And he even saves his life multiple times! It takes them soooo long time to build trust and rely on each other.

But I imagine MBJ just waiting for the moment Qinghua betrays him. Stabs him in the back, figuratively or literally. The thought lingers in the back of his head, easily ignored most of the time but always there.

He'd test him. Do things to upset him and see if he leaves. Push him around and give him difficult work and drag him on hunts to see how he reacts. He's waiting for the betrayal. It's inevitable right?

And then, instead, he just leaves. Runs away. And MBJ is probably like, yeah, I knew this would happen eventually. It always happens eventually. He is probably mad at first. You know there's probably tantrums. Things get destroyed, and anyone in his way gets slaughtered, even though since Qinghua has been around, harm and destruction has been at an all-time low.

And then he's alone again for the first time in a long time. Even though he was always waiting for Qinghua to leave, he'd gotten so used to his companion that going back to being alone in unbearable. It's too quiet now.

This is why you can't trust anyone, right?

But he can't leave it alone, anr the empty place by his side that was filled with a small, yappy man who did all his paperwork and advised him on his ruling but was also a constant to rely on.

He can't go back to being alone again. He'll find Qinghua and drag him back if he has to. And he'll do what he has to do to bring Qinghua back.
