I guess this is a moss? If it is, it’s a stringy, al dente kind of moss. I keep thinking I know a name for a related kind of plant that it might be, but I can’t think of it. edit: possibly Hedwigia? Any moss people out there?

Someone help me ID this strange plant/lichen thing I found growing on a stump in the woods?? It was pliable to the touch and had all these lil pokeys on the underside. I've never seen this funky bro before!!!

Cause it's most common where there is heavy rainfall, and I love the rain. Often found next to streams in the woods. Sounds nice and it's a pretty green colour. Also, I'm a common bish
