Does it make you like running? I’ve always wondered.

i actually really do enjoy it, yeah!  i'm not super great at it still but i can run for 30 minutes without feeling like i'm going to die or my lungs are going to collapse so i'd call that a win.  i plan to keep running so i guess it did a good job!

I just want to say that I think your blog is so very important. I come from a generation that is filled with homophobia and it sickens me to know how misinformed and closed-minded I was myself, before my eyes were opened and I came to terms with what I was afraid of and why, with regards to someone being gay. I see the injustice and the ignorance of the generation from which I come and as a teacher, I know I'm in a position to help.Wanted to let you know how important your work is to our future.

Thank you so much for this. Everyone can teach their environment more respect for others, but indeed, it’s teachers who are best placed to inform the future. So glad to have you on board!

To all the 1Direction fans: Okay guys, I think it's time to empower you. This fandom needs to realize the force that is YOU! I want to tell you this because I'm older and I've been around a bit longer than some of you...I came from a generation of many fandoms some I was involved with and some my older brothers and sisters were, such as the Beatles, The Monkees, Fleetwood Mac, The Police, Journey and Pink Floyd. I've seen what fans can do for the bands they love over the years...BUT SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL YOU GUYS that the whole world is watching you. You need to see the power, the force, that is the 1D fandom! No one is telling you this, but I WILL!  Think about what you guys have accomplished in 3 short years! The Brits, MTV, Nick Awards, arenas, now STADIUMS?! It's a HUGE DEAL what you guys do for these boys! Other artists, other fandoms watch you guys. They come to see the boys in concert and they just stand there shaking their head because they cannot grasp the complete adoration and devotion you guys have for your boys! No one can figure it out. Marketing companies and social network teams have been created just to study YOU GUYS and Your trends, how you communicate, how you rally, college classes are now being offered to study the trend of 1Direction and the influence of their fandom....if you don't believe me, take a look....a long look... Here's a small example of your power in the real world...look at what you were able to accomplish with Glamour Magazine just this past week! I mean, guys, they are listening to you because you are a huge, huge force to be reckoned with.  I am telling you this because I fell in love with these boys, but I also fell in love with YOU, too! Like I said, I' m a bit older, and I am not the only one older than 20 out here! but this can be a stength to you guys because you have folks out here who have some world experience and we are on the team. You girls and guys have no idea how awesome you are. It astounds me sometimes that many of you doubt your self worth. You don't believe in your ability to be valued or noticed....let me tell you, YOU ARE ALL WORTHY AND BEAUTIFUL! You are valued and you guys need to hear it...ALOT! Someone needs to tell you that you guys are amazing....that the generation ahead of you is shaking their heads trying to figure you guys out. You're so much more intelligent, creative, caring and loving,(when you choose to be),devoted, and unbelievably powerful. FEEL EMPOWERED!! You have the attention of the world. You really do! Don't let anyone in the business world fool you...they recognize your power and influence and they fear you! Some say that people hate the 1D fans but let me tell you they see your influence and are very, very cautious of you. It isn't hate. If anything it's fear and envy. Don't let them divide you or distract you. Stay focused!! Many adults out there think, "Oh, these fans will grow up and grow tired of these boys and will move on, just like all the others before.".... But I want you guys to prove them wrong!! As you have with so many other things they predicted about this fandom...they were wrong!! Guys, stay united. Care for each other...the ones who've been here from the beginning the ones who started this legacy deserve respect, so do the newbies(because like it or not...they create the strength and staying power of YOUR BOYS)...and love the carrots, the shippers, the girlfriends, the emos, the whatevers....love the adults out here, too....please?! Because 1D is only as strong as we are when we stand together. Keep voting, keep calling stupid press on the crap they try to print, call out management when needed, celebrate with each other when any of us gets a photograph, a letter, a follow.....because it means we are being noticed and appreciated by the boys.....when one of us gets it, we all get it. It proves we aren't invisible to them.  So,continue to support your boys TOGETHER. Try and get along. It is the ONE THING that will tear the 1D fan base apart....fighting among yourselves. I've seen it happen. If you band together and don't let anything divide you guys....you will continue to be the force that is going down in history as the single most influential fandom known. Remember that the boys smile the biggest and clap the longest for us when we are all "singing along together". Thanks for letting me into the 1D world and being a friend to me. I love you all and I respect you.
