Take a visit to ruins overlooking the sacred mountain

Making your way through the white trees that cover the mountain, climbers will be able to see many small animals. It used to be off-limits as a sacred site, but having been granted permission by the town, you can ascend. As you approach the summit, an impressive sluice gate will appear in view. If you cast your eyes from the green-blue sluice gate adorned with a giant bird, to the foot of the mountain, you’ll see the image of a phoenix, and the way it lives with the land.

The blue room pictured here are ruins that rest within a spherical mound. Once open, anyone can see the ancient marvels inside. The other three photos show the sluice gate and overhead view of the town, which are not usually seen, but permission has been granted to photograph them.

聖なる山を望み遺跡を巡る旅 フェニール岳の山肌を覆う白い木 々 の合間に分け入ると、小さな生き物たちが登山客の目を楽しませてくれる。本来は聖地のため立ち入り禁止だが、今回は町の許可を得て登ってみよう。山頂近くになると、不意に目の前が開けて荘厳な古代の水門が飛び込んでくる。巨大な鳥を従えた緑青色の水門から山裾に目を投じれば、不死鳥の息吹ととも、この地が遺跡とともに暮らしている姿がはっきりと伝わってくるだろう。

ここで紹介している青い部屋はをまんまる塚に眠る遺跡で、開放されていれば誰でも古代の奇跡を目の当たりにすることができる。その他の写真は 3 普段は目にすることのない水門や町の全景を、町の許可を得て特別に撮影したものだ。
