Video chat with my daughter tonight. Week 3 of her adventure in LA and the smile on her beautiful face quieted every worry a mother can carry. Catching up with her made me think about what I was doing when I was 23. And then her laugh reminded me that I was probably singing her the lullaby I wrote for her when she was 3. The timing of her video call was much needed. I thought at some point that being a mom ended when the babes hit 21.
