Neil Degrasse Tyson Confronts B.o.B (2018)
Here’s the Adult Swim schedule for Monday, June 25 to Sunday, July 1.
Joe Pera is airing its first season again on the weekday lineup. Expect a change next week.
New Infomercial Monday. It’s a half hour, first time I think that’s happened. Seems to be related to As Seen on Adult Swim.
Pop Team Epic replaces Dragon Ball Z Kai on Toonami. My Hero Academia and FLCL: Progressive get a timeslot promotion.
Mostly 4 Millenials premieres on Sunday. Two episodes a week, once again.
But I feel like I need to question this. Is Adult Swim losing the rights to King of the Hill? They might be. Here’s my evidence:
The Saturday and Sunday schedules have changed to remove KOTH. The Cleveland Show replaces it Saturday at 5a and Sunday at 8a. American Dad and Bob’s Burgers encores replace it at 5a Sunday.
KOTH doesn’t air before Toonami on Saturdays anyway, but I feel like if it did, that would be the last you’d see of it. Looks like the moment the time in Atlanta goes from 6/30 11:59p to 7/1 12:00a that night, Adult Swim loses the rights to the show.
I could be wrong though, here’s why:
If Adult Swim was losing the rights to one of their shows, wouldn’t they be making a big deal out of it? When Adult Swim lost Futurama they were extremely open about how much they’d miss it and made lots of promos and bumps centered around it. Not to mention they also gave it a 6 day farewell marathon. The last day it aired was December 31, 2007, and once the clock turned to midnight that night, they lost the rights (and aired Family Guy during the repeat timeslot instead).
Could be preparing a marathon. Adult Swim released a schedule last September that had no Bob’s Burgers the entire week. I was like “oh god are they losing one of their flagship shows?”. That wasn’t the case. They gave the show a surprise 5-hour marathon on a Thursday instead, to honor Pete Smith retiring from Williams Street (his daughter writes for the show). Maybe they’re doing a propane-fueled marathon for July 4?
Either way, I don’t know. We’ll see the answers whenever Adult Swim posts the schedule for next week.
